What is Pennisetum?

Pennisetum (scientific name: Conyza? Canadensis) is a plant of Chenopodium in Compositae. It is distributed in North America, Chinese mainland and other places, growing at an altitude of 350 meters to 3 100 meters, mostly in wasteland, fields, wilderness and roadsides, and has not been artificially introduced and cultivated at present.

Its stem is erect, its surface is yellow-green or green, its edge is thin and its hair is thick. Simple leaves are alternate. After flattening, the leaves are linear-lanceolate, narrow at the base, tapering at the apex, with sparse serrated edge or whole edge and long hair. Most small heads are connected with panicles, and the flowers are yellow-brown. The smell is unique and the taste is slightly bitter.
