It is not surprising to be excited and say some exaggerated words when facing the beautiful mountains and rivers; however, they say they must settle down somewhere and spend their time there. It’s not possible in old age, and it’s rare for people to say this at the same time in different eras.” The book is accompanied by some pictures of the scenery of Tianzhu Mountain in different seasons, which are so beautiful that it touched my heart. It was itchy and I had to go check it out.

Tianzhu Mountain is named because its main peak is so steep and towering that it looks like a pillar holding up the sky; it is also known as "Gu Nanyue". Emperor Wu of the Han Dynasty admired its majestic appearance and canonized it during his southern tour. Tianzhu is famous for its natural mountain scenery, unique water features, cave views and long-standing cultural relics. In 1982, it was listed as one of the first batch of national key scenic spots by the State Council.

Now I will focus on the self-guided tour of Tianzhu Mountain.

Tianzhu Mountain is located in Qianshan County, Anqing City, Anhui Province. There are direct trains to Tianzhu Mountain Station (formerly Qianshan Station), you can also transfer from the Yangtze River Waterway to Anqing, or take a train to Hefei or Jiujiang Transfer, the transportation is very convenient; at the train station, there are minibuses or buses to the south gate of Tianzhu Mountain at any time. The fare is 6 to 8 yuan, and the entrance ticket to the mountain is 50 yuan.

There are two cableways (sections) in Tianzhu Mountain Scenic Area. The lower one is called "Tianzhu Mountain Cableway" and the locals call it "Yisuo". Tour groups all take this cableway up to the middle of the mountain; from the middle of the mountain to close to the top of the mountain The other one is called "Qinglongjian Cableway", and the locals call it "Er Cableway". The scenic spot can be divided into Xiguan and Dongguan, with the main attractions concentrated in Xiguan. It usually takes two days to visit Tianzhu Mountain. If you are in good physical condition, you can also see it all in two and a half days.

Day 1: It takes about 1.5 hours to climb from Nantianmen to Yisuoshang Station. This is where the hotels and hotels on the mountain are concentrated. In addition, there is only a guest house at the "Alchemy Lake". Find an accommodation here to settle your luggage, take a short rest and visit Xiguan, the main scenic spot of Tianzhu Mountain. It is recommended to go from "Nanguankou" via "Feilai Pavilion" and Ersuo Station, go up to the main peak from "Mysterious Valley", and then return after visiting "Qinglongbei" and go down the mountain from "Zongguan Village" to the accommodation.

Note: Mysterious Valley and Zongguan Village each have their own characteristics. You cannot choose between them. It is recommended to go to both. Must-see attractions: Anhui God Statue, Tianzhu Pine, Duxian Bridge, Tianzhu Peak, Double Breast Stone, Baiyue Platform, Qinglong Bei, Wanjing Terrace, Qinglongxuan.

If you have time and energy, it is recommended to go to the direction of "Wumei Pine" to see the "Wan Gong Golden Gun" and feel the fairy spirit. It takes about an hour one way from Nanguankou to "Wangong Golden Gun".

The next day:

General route: via Yisuo Station, Yingzhen Peak, Echo Tower, Diecui Pavilion, Qigu Ladder and other Dongguan scenic spots, exit the scenic area from Dongdamen .

The route with strong physical strength: go up the mountain and pass through Nanguankou and Feilai Pavilion. From Ersuoshang Station, go east through "Alchemy Lake" and "Zuo Ci Alchemy House", and then toward Dongguan and through "Yingzhen Peak" ", "Echoing Tower", "Diecui Pavilion", "Qigu Sky Ladder" and other Dongguan attractions can be accessed from the east gate.

After going down the mountain, you must stop at the "Sanzu Temple" at the entrance of the mountain road. This is the monastery of the third ancestor of Zen Buddhism, Monk Can, who lives in Xi. The "Ancient Stone Cow Cave" and the cliff carvings behind the temple are worth a visit. .

Scenic Spot Information:

Generally, it is more suitable for tourists to take the cableway up the mountain. The uphill cableway station is at the East Gate, which is the only way to Nantianmen. Follow the CMB conductor or driver Just say hello and stop.

There is the "Foguang Temple" at Nantianmen in the scenic area, where Zen Master Mazu was stationed. Funds are being raised for reconstruction.

There are many accommodations near the parking lots of Dongdaemun and Nantianmen in the scenic area. Tour groups usually arrange accommodation near Dongdaemun in order to take the ropeway up the mountain. Due to the self-guided tour schedule and tickets, it is recommended to stay on the mountain. , the price of accommodation on the mountain is not more expensive than at the foot of the mountain, and you can enjoy the pine waves and breeze.

There is a "Wende Villa" at the top of the Tianzhu Mountain Cable Station. It is run by a brother and sister named Wu. It is clean and hygienic, and the price is reasonable. There are both with and without toilets, 24 hours a day. There is hot water at 18-45 yuan/bed, which is lower than what you get at the mountain. Food is also convenient.
