Downtown Guiyang

Route description: Qianling Park is located in the northwest corner of Guiyang City. It can be reached from downtown Guiyang by bus No. 1 or 2, or by minibus No. 61 or 62. I chose to go to Qianling Mountain

The main reason I went there was for the wild monkeys there. It is said that the monkeys there live in peace with humans. During the Anti-Japanese War, patriotic generals Zhang Liang and Yang Hucheng were placed under house arrest in Qilin Cave here.

Note: There are many monkeys in the park. You can spend 1 yuan to buy a pack of monkey food to feed them. But when they come over, don't shrink your hands or dodge, otherwise the monkey will be irritated.

Guiyang - Qingzhen

Route description: Hongfeng Lake Scenic Area is located in Qingzhen and Pingba County in central Guizhou, 33 kilometers west of Guiyang and 77 kilometers away from Anshun. There are special tourist buses at the Riverside Park in the city, which can reach the scenic spot in more than 20 minutes. Or take a bus to Qingzhen at Guiyang Bus Station. Guiyang - Qingyan

Route description: Qingyan is only 28 kilometers away from Guiyang. There are daily buses from the bus station next to Guiyang Hebin Park

Note: There are no tickets for entering the town in Qingyan. Don’t just take a quick look when visiting Qingyan. You can stay for a day or two before leaving. There are several teahouses outside the city facing Dingguang Gate.

Guiyang - Anshun

Route description: At the passenger station, take a tourist bus that goes directly to Huangguoshu; you can also take a bus to Huajiang and get off at the intersection of the scenic spot; you can also take a bus Take the bus to Anshun or Zhenning and then change trains. Huangguoshu Waterfall, known as the largest waterfall in China, is 74 meters high and 81 meters wide. It is also one of the most spectacular waterfalls in the world

On the second day, we visited Tianxing Bridge Scenic Area (Water Stone Forest, Tianxing Cave, etc.) and Dragon Palace Scenic Area. It only takes half an hour from Huangguoshu to Dragon Palace Scenic Area.

Ticket: 35 yuan. The scenic area is mainly composed of karst caves, caves and waterfalls. It is a unique place in central Guizhou and includes four major areas: Dragon Palace, Rapeseed Lake, Xuantang and Leech. Near the cave are Sanchahe Tianyuan scenery, Stone Forest Park, Longqi Cave and Longtan Buyi Village. After the tour, return to Guiyang.

Travel tips:

1. The best time to visit Huangguoshu is July and August, when the water is abundant and majestic. There is no such feeling when going during the dry season.

2. You need to bring an umbrella or raincoat when visiting Huangguoshu Waterfall, otherwise you will get soaked by the water.

3. The traffic in Guiyang is not ideal. In addition, finding the way in Guiyang is troublesome. There are few road signs and house numbers are even scarcer.

Transportation: Huangguoshu is 137 kilometers away from Guiyang and 40 kilometers away from Anshun. Take the Guihuang Expressway. It only takes two hours to take the one-day tour bus from Guiyang Railway Station to Huangguoshu (the bus costs 40 yuan per person for a round trip).
