Haiwozi ancient town

It's already May, and it began to turn white before 6 o'clock. At 6: 30, I sat on the window sill of the hotel and opened the book I had with me. I saw the preface and wrote it affectionately in a fickle world. Looking up at the window, there is green everywhere, too thick to melt. Several clear dog barks came, cuckoos were barking in the distance, and other unknown birds were whispering. Birds sing in the morning and the world is quiet.

So in the morning, my heart is quiet.

I really like this morning, waking up in a strange place, with no worldly affairs, no work to deal with, and even no housework to make breakfast, just reading or writing quietly.

At half past nine, I packed my things, had breakfast and went to Haiwozi ancient town.

Haiwozi Ancient Town was built in the 55th year of Qianlong (A.D. 1790), about 70 kilometers away from Chengdu, and located on the Suijiang River in Pengzhou section at the foot of Longmen Mountain. Pengzhou is the only way for Chengdu to enter and exit Bailu Town and Longmenshan. Its main street, Qulaojie, is1500m long.

When we walked from one archway in Haiwozi to another, Mei Ting sighed, "This street is so long." 1500m long.

There are two theories about the origin of Haiwozi.

Among them, "Huayang Guozhi" records: "In the government, in the mountains, the capital is in Qu." The symbol of the emperor is the dragon, and the place where the king lives is where the dragon lives. Long Qian was extinct at sea, so people later called it "Haiwozi".

Secondly, there was a cave near the mountain in ancient times, and cold springs flowed out all year round. The villagers call it "sea eye", that is, "sea nest"

I prefer the first statement because of Li's poem, "Until two rulers were in this area, through their ways in the foggy age." This statement related to ancient legends will cast a mysterious color on the ancient town.

We strolled along the stone road. Old wooden houses with red lanterns are standard in all ancient towns. They look good. All kinds of flowers placed on the ground decorate the market and reflect people's love for a better life.

Shops on both sides have opened one after another, and all kinds of cakes and pastries are mouth watering. Street stalls are filled with Haiwozi's specialties, vinegar and wine. Handmade Chili powder, some people put up a stall while pounding Chili with a stone mortar. Manual labor always attracts me to stop and linger.

Probably because it is Monday, there are few tourists in the ancient town. It may just be the market day, but there are many villagers who come to sell vegetables nearby. Such an ancient town of Haiwozi, with its strong commercial atmosphere and monotonous and noisy appearance, is very different from other ancient towns, which makes people feel inexplicable joy.

Climb up the back hill along the steps behind the ancient town and overlook the ancient town of Haiwozi. There are rows of houses, and the buildings with gray tiles and white walls are simple and quiet. The statue of King Shu in the Mid-Levels holds Zhan Ji in his left hand and presses it in his right hand. His eyes are deep and distant, gazing at and protecting his millions of people.
