Flower and Bird Island is located at the northernmost part of the Shengsi Islands. It is shaped like a seagull spreading its wings and is about to fly. The island is covered with flowers and grass and has beautiful forests and gullies, so it is named Flower and Bird Island. Because the island is surrounded by clouds and fog all year round, it is also called Kirishima. The most famous landscape on Flower and Bird Island is the Flower and Bird Lighthouse. It is known as the largest lighthouse in the Far East and the second largest lighthouse in Asia. The Flower and Bird Lighthouse was built by the British during the Tongzhi period of the Qing Dynasty. Whenever night falls, a bright white light is emitted from the top of the tower, bringing hope and courage to lost ships.

Zhoushan City is my country's first prefecture-level city organized as an archipelago. It is affiliated to Zhejiang Province. It is located at the intersection of the golden coastline of eastern China and the golden waterway of the Yangtze River. It is backed by the vast economic hinterland of the Yangtze River Delta. If The Yangtze River is compared to a giant dragon leaping towards the East China Sea, Shanghai is compared to the dragon's head, and Zhoushan is the bright dragon pearl on the dragon's head.

Zhoushan has 1,390 islands and more than 270 kilometers of deep-water coastline. It is China's largest archipelago and an important port city. It governs Dinghai and Putuo districts and Daishan and Shengsi counties, with a permanent population of 1.146 million. Zhoushan City is located in Zhoushan Islands, Zhejiang Province. It is located on the southeast coast of my country, south of the Yangtze River Estuary, and on the East China Sea at the outer edge of Hangzhou Bay. The geographical location is between 121°3O′～123°25′ east longitude and 29°32′～31°04′ north latitude. It is 182 kilometers long from east to west and 169 kilometers wide from north to south. Zhoushan is a famous fishing ground and an important base for marine fisheries in my country. It is known as the "fishing capital of the motherland". There are 317 kinds of fish, 33 kinds of shrimps, 55 kinds of crabs, and 131 kinds of algae. The annual output accounts for about one-tenth of the national marine catch and half of Zhejiang Province. The city has more than 4 million acres of shallow beaches, with huge potential for marine aquaculture development. Offshore pelagic fishing continues to develop, with production operations mainly occurring in waters such as West Africa, Indonesia, Argentina and the North Pacific. Zhoushan's aquatic products are exported to more than 50 countries and regions including Japan, South Korea, the United States, the European Union and Southeast Asia. Zhoushan is backed by large and medium-sized cities such as Shanghai, Hangzhou, and Ningbo and the vast hinterland of the Yangtze River Delta, and faces the Pacific Ocean. It has strong geographical advantages. It is located at the intersection of my country's north-south coastal routes and the Yangtze River waterway. It is a maritime area open to the outside world in the Yangtze River Basin and the Yangtze River Delta. Gateways and passages radiate in a fan-shaped manner with emerging port cities in the Asia-Pacific.
