Pengxi Xiantao has a long history. As early as the Tang Dynasty, shoutao planted in Bajiao Village and Heibaigou Village of Longren Town once paid tribute to the Palace. Due to the particularity of soil and climate, Pengxi Xiantao is crisp and sweet, which is about ten days earlier than peaches in other parts of Sichuan, and has strong market competitiveness. According to statistics, at present, 35 villages in Pengxi County intensively plant 5 1 10,000 mu of Pengxi Xiantao, of which 37,000 mu has been put into production, with 64,300 tons of fruit, and the output value income is 65.438+85 billion yuan, accounting for 37.8% of the planting income of the base town. Optimizing the agricultural industrial structure and helping farmers to increase their income are the pillar industries in Pengxi County.

At the beginning of August this year, the experts from China Fruit Circulation Association and National Fruit Appraisal Office made a rigorous on-the-spot investigation on the indicators of Pengxi County's declaration of "China's hometown of high-quality peaches" and "Pengxi Xiantao, a famous fruit in China". The results confirmed that Pengxi County and Pengxi Xiantao met the standards of "Hometown of High-quality Peach in China" and "Famous Fruit in China" respectively.

It is understood that since the beginning of this year, Pengxi County has adhered to the industrial development idea of "one state, four modernizations" (that is, original ecology, improved varieties, standardization, scale and branding), and made full use of the opportunity of the county's overall certification of pollution-free agricultural production bases by the Ministry of Agriculture to strive to build the largest original ecological Xiantao industrial demonstration base county in Sichuan and even the whole country. The county finance arranges 6.5438+0.5 million yuan each year to support Xiantao seedlings, and at the same time integrates comprehensive agricultural development and rural roads. Establish Pengxi Xiantao professional cooperative, and adopt the standardized production management mode of "seven unification" to strengthen product quality and brand building according to the requirements of high standard, high starting point and three-product certification (pollution-free, green and organic food); Cooperate with Sichuan Agricultural University to establish a 10,000-mu Xiantao Science and Technology Demonstration Park, introduce key leading enterprises, and form a new pattern of industrialized operation of companies, cooperatives, bases and farmers with bases; Relying on the expert professor of fruit trees in Sichuan Agricultural University, an expert compound was set up to guide the production of Xiantao, and a retired peach extension researcher from Longquanyi District was hired as the chief expert of Xiantao. The scientific and technological achievements were directly sent to the fields and technical training was directly delivered to the households, which provided strong technical support for the development of Xiantao industry. The county government of Chongqing and Yuzhong District Government jointly held the Pengxi Xiantao Promotion Conference in Chongqing * * *, signed long-term purchase and sale cooperation agreements with many merchants in Chongqing, and signed the agreement of "docking agricultural supermarkets" with Beijing Wu Mei Commercial Group Company, which achieved the best achievement in the history that the output, quality, price, cost and other indicators of Pengxi Xiantao fruit rose simultaneously, and the supply of Xiantao fruit was in short supply.
