What movie is better?

What kind of magic movie is the best drama film 19 17 in the Golden Globe Award in 2020? Director sam mendes also won the Golden Globe Award for Best Director.

The film looks coherent, maybe it's a long shot by the photographer, or it's cleverly edited. Some viewers even said that the director was too lazy, and he could help edit it.

Perhaps the movement of a single lens has achieved such an effect. For these statements, sam mendes smiled and said nothing. During World War I, two soldiers shouldered the mission of life and death and sent letters to the front through the uninhabited island. Under the guidance of legendary photographer roger deakins, the occasional camera movement makes this fear and war terror very rich.

People are running in the trenches dug by soldiers. In this case, it is impossible to set the sliding trajectory of the camera, which undoubtedly increases the burden of photographer Dickins and his team. They have to shoot these scenes manually. Through continuous lens advancement, the film gives this linear design a sense of urgency.

The story begins in a quiet field. Lance Cobblack (Dean-Charles Chapman, Game of Thrones) and Schofield (george mckay, Captain Wonder) are taking a nap and are woken up by the phone call from the CEO. A large number of British soldiers, including Blake's brother, are heading for the German trap. Put down the phone, the two little soldiers must cross the dangerous area and verbally convey orders to prevent the big troops from entering the trap.

They set out through barbed wire, craters, bombed-out towns and complicated tunnels. When there is no direct exchange of fire between the two heroes, every pause in the action is only a prelude to the next difficulty, and the whole process is exciting. In the script written by director Mendes and Kristi Wilson-Keynes (the screenwriter of The Terrible Penny), the explosion is unpredictable. Most of the tasks are real-time, and the movie doesn't give the audience a chance to breathe.

From this point of view, this film is more like a horror film than a war film. Mendes seems to be less interested in the nightmare war scenes, and more concerned with Hitchcock-style audience manipulation. This is obviously no problem. It is completely different from the movies that once reflected the First World War, such as Glorious Road, garibaldi and Phantom. These films use disputes to discuss the injustice between class and army, or the last struggle of European aristocrats.

19 17 is of course a technical film, not only directed by Dickins, but also with perfect sound and visual effects, and edited by lee smith. These did not drown out McKay and Chapman's performances. Their bravery, terror, loyalty, determination and despair are all vividly displayed in front of the camera.

Mendes also arranged some famous actors to play officers, except Firth, benedict cumberbatch, andrew scott, richard madden and mark strong. Everyone knows how to impress everyone in a simple conversation, and everyone becomes an important story node.
