GTR information? Where does it come from?

Speaking of Skyline GT-R34, most fans may be able to memorize her information, but when it comes to her first generation and the predecessor of its factory, I am afraid it is beyond the scope of ordinary fans. In the 40-year development process of GT-R series cars, it has gradually evolved from the representative of high-performance cars to the "God of War", and at the same time it has stopped production twice. After the launch of the new R35 model, Nissan once again proved its superb car-making technology to the world. Today, let's learn more about the magnificent 40-year evolution history of Nissan GT-R through introduction.

Strictly speaking, the model of the Skyline GT-R is a branch model derived from the Skyline series, that is, the performance version of the Skyline series. Therefore, to fully understand the history of GT-R, we must start with the history of the skyline.

The seventh year after the end of World War II was 1952. At this time, Japan's automobile industry is slowly recovering from the destruction of the war. In order to prevent vicious competition and overseas mergers, the Japanese authorities encouraged and called for the merger of large automobile enterprises and small automobile enterprises. Poorly managed Prince Auto 1966 merged with Nissan. The predecessor of Prince Automobile Company was engaged in the production of military aircraft, and it began to produce automobiles in 1952. Skyline series is one of its automobile series. In the second year after the merger, its product was named Nissan. Although the brand was renamed Nissan, it still maintained its brand of Skyline series, including Skyline GT-R series. (For the skyline model before the merger, this article will not mention it for the time being.)

Generation 1: skyline R27 (code: PGC- 10)

Tianji R27

The skyline GT-R(PGC- 10), really called the first generation, was officially presented to the world on February 4th, 1969 in the 5th Tokyo. At that time, the skyline GT-R was placed next to the Nissan R380 racing car, and the DOHC S20 straight 6 water-cooled engine with displacement of 1989cc was very similar to the GE8 engine used in R380 racing car. At that time, the engine could generate 160 horsepower and 12 kg of torque, which were then transmitted to the two rear wheels through the manual 5-speed gearbox. In addition, it uses a semi-trailing arm suspension system. The advantage of this suspension is that it can make the vehicle have excellent stability when turning. At that time, PGC- 10 was a best-selling model known for its performance.

Tianji R27

From now on, the shape of the R27 front is still very tasty. The side is also set off by the irregular waistline, creating a muscular whole body. Failure lies in the avant-garde front, and the body and the mediocre rear cannot be connected. The rear shape of R27 is relatively flat, and the heavy rear bumper seems to crash into the body abruptly, which is extremely out of harmony with the lines of the whole vehicle. The shape of the taillights is also very simple, and there is no aesthetic feeling at all.

Just one year later, influenced by the enthusiastic return of the market, Nissan launched the two-door sports version R27 equipped with aerodynamic suite, and officially named it GT-R. This is the birth of GT-R. As soon as the car was born, it was snapped up with its beautiful appearance and strong performance, which also realized Nissan's original intention of establishing a brand image and occupying market share.

Although the first generation GT-R did not have a four-wheel drive system, its powerful strength still played an extreme role in various competitions. At that time, the four-door version of the 2000GT swept the champions of 33 events like a gust of wind, and the two-door version of the GT-R(KPGC- 10), which appeared at 7 1 0, easily rewritten the winning streak to 50 games. Since then, the name of GT-R "invincible God of War" has been widely circulated. Between 1969 and 1973, GT-RPGC- 10 and KGPC- 10 produced 1945 sets.

Second generation: skyline R28 (code: KPGC- 1 10)

Tianji R28

After the first generation of GT-R was discontinued in 1972, the second generation of brand-new GT-R was named as 2000GTR, which was officially listed in September of the same year, replacing the position of the first generation of GT-R. The second generation of GTRKKPGC- 1 10 was composed of skyline C-1kloc. The popular double round lamp design, racing car-like oil inlet, long front, full body, smooth rear and good performance caused a whirlwind in the Japanese car circle at that time.

Tianji R28

The weight of the second generation GT-R is 45 kg more than that of the first generation, but its engine still follows the S20 2.0L engine of the first generation GT-R (horsepower is still 160 horsepower), equipped with a 5-speed manual transmission, and the suspension is a semi-trailer suspension system. Therefore, the second generation GT-R began to seem a little overwhelmed in the activities.

Because it was the oil crisis at that time, the high fuel cost made few people interested in performance cars, so few people were willing to pay for this KPGC- 1 10 in both Japanese and Australian markets.

This ill-timed second-generation GT-R can be said to be extremely unlucky. I wanted to take part in the competition when I first came out, but I didn't meet the requirements of emission standards. In the second year, because of the oil crisis, it was forced to stop production. In this way, the second generation GT-R ended the life cycle of 197 vehicles in just six months, even without touching the track. But because of this, this GT-R is now regarded as a rare treasure by car collectors all over the world.

Generation 2.5: skyline R29 (code: PGC-2 1 1)

Tianji R29

In fact, most people think that GT-R went into hibernation after the second generation of KPGC- 1 10 until the appearance of R32. But there is one that I have to mention, and that is R29. Because on R29, rectangular headlights and four-round taillights called the soul of GT-R car were used for the first time. But from the whole history, this car is really not the first generation GT-R, but a small attempt to change the model. I use "two generations and five generations" to describe her. The only bright spot of this car may be that it has become the first model in Japan with front disc and rear drum braking system. At that time, many fans thought that the glory of GT-R was over.

Sky R30

Skyline R3 1

By the way, R30 and R3 1 are mentioned here. 1973 Due to the shock wave caused by the crisis of Japanese automobile industry in the late 1970s and a series of regulations such as emission regulations and horsepower regulations implemented in Japan from the late 1970s to the early 1990s, Nissan was forced to stop the production of GT-R, so the R30 and R3 1 introduced later did not sell GT-R models, but only because of their mediocre appearance.

Third Generation: Skyline R32 (code name: BNR32)

Tianji R32

On August 1989 and February1day, Nissan launched the long-lost third-generation brand-new GT-R. Externally, the new car adopted the combination of rectangular headlights and four-round taillights that R29 continued. Considering the wind resistance, the model is also streamlined. Original aerodynamic kit, beautiful and extremely practical. Starting from this generation of models, the first generation of famous machine RB26DETT officially served in GT-R models. The maximum horsepower is 280, which is the upper limit set by Japan. Equipped with a 5-speed manual gear and a unique electronically controlled four-wheel drive chassis, the torque can be separated, and the acceleration of 0- 100KM/H only takes 5. 1 s. After the new car went on the market, the market reaction was almost crazy, and the sales volume reached a record 43 thousand.

Tianji R32

BNR32 can be said to be the simplest one in GT-R history. The only purpose of her appearance is to participate in Group A events, and Nissan's goal for BNR32 is even more unrealistic-Porsche 959. However, in that era when Japanese companies had too much money to spend, it was not impossible to realize the original intention of R&D with almost no commercial purpose and completely unrealistic requirements for products.

In the past year, 1990 can be said to be the most beautiful year in GT-R history. BNR32 won Japan's Group A and Group N championships. At JTCC, GT-R also set a record of playing 29 games and winning 29 games (this record was set at 1990- 1993). The title of God of War, which is well known by more people, was set in the Oriental Competition in Macau in the same year. At that time, veteran Hasegami Changhong and BNR32 modified by Group A easily defeated the rivals BMWE30 M3 and Ford Serra RS500 in Group A. In the end, Hasegami Changhong's No.23 chariot easily won the championship at a speed of 10 seconds, leaving a legend that photographers could not keep up with.

Such a shocking result makes BMW, which has been fighting in the East for many years, feel incredible. How can that ugly GT-R let all their M3s eat ashes behind their backs? ! In view of this, in the competition of 199 1, the competition system was modified, and the DTM racing car called the equation of putting on the RV shell was introduced. This is also the first time that DTM has participated in the East Wang Yang race. Since then, East Wang Yang has entered the DTM era. The most unacceptable thing is that because GT-R was too sharp in the last race, the race informed GTR that it must increase its weight by as much as 140kg two days before the race. At that time, the shock absorber equipped by Nissan could not bear such a high weight (the weight of BNR32 Group-A racing car was 1260kg, and it was increased to 1400kg), which obviously could not be completely completed in two days. Even so, GTR, as Group A, won the fourth place in the competition with all kinds of DTM cars that are significantly higher than its own group and lighter than 420kg (DTM cars weigh only 980kg). In the hearts of car fans, who is the real champion of this year is self-evident. The story of God of War, which is familiar to today's fans, has also spread since then, and GTR has also performed well in the JGTC competition (now renamed Super GT) in the following years. Later 1994, the FIA saw that GT-R was too strong, and simply cancelled the Group A race. What happened to GT-R in Australia is a bit ridiculous. The organizing committee of the Australian touring car race simply banned her from the race for a clear reason-those V8 beasts can't beat this pervert.

Fourth Generation: Skyline R33 (code name: BNR33)

Tianji R33

Tianji R33

After the success of BNR32, in March, six years later, Nissan introduced the fourth generation GT-R, 1995. The RB26DETT inline six-cylinder twin-turbo engine originally used in BNR32 model is still adopted. Although the newly adjusted RB26 horsepower is slightly reduced to 276 horsepower, the output is faster. As one of the most important technical features of the new generation GTR, ATTESA E-TS has also been upgraded, and V-spec models come standard with ATTESA E-TS Pro V 1 system. But if KPGC 1- 10, which is unlucky from head to toe, is not at the bottom, BNR33 will definitely become the most failed work in GT-R history.

Fifth Generation: Skyline R34 (code name: BNR34)

Tianji R34

Learn from a painful experience.1In May, 1998, Nissan launched a new generation GT-R, which placed countless expectations. Nissan finally understood: no one will look for comfort on GT-R, what they need is biting appearance, agile acceleration and fierce control. This generation of models swept away the haze that BCNR33 had cast on GT-R brand before, and became the most successful model in the history of GT-R car series.

Tianji R34

The huge air intake grille, deformed crystal xenon headlights, 19-inch six-spoke wheel hub, exposed golden BREMBO brake calipers with giant ventilated drill brake discs, eye-catching large tail fins, and improved four-round taillights all reveal the same message-the Japanese God of War is back. In terms of handling, Nissan designers' experience and lessons on BNR33 made them pay special attention to handling when manufacturing BNR34. In addition to continuing to use the electronically controlled four-wheel drive chassis that can automatically distribute torque according to the degree of tire adhesion, an active four-wheel steering system is also introduced. This system can make the rear wheel turn correspondingly according to the steering angle of the front wheel when the front wheel makes a large-scale steering action, and the result is that it can turn at a sharper angle.

The engine of GT-RR34 is still Nissan's magic weapon-inline six-cylinder twin-turbo engine (RB26DETT). 2.6L displacement, twin turbocharging, maximum output power of 280ps/6800rpm, and maximum torque of 40.0kgm/4400rpm. However, according to the test of Japanese fans, the original R34 has at least 300 horsepower, and the official announcement of 280 horsepower is just to "abide by" the "gentleman's agreement".

Unfortunately, the good days of BNR34 did not last long. It is 200 1. The Japanese government announced that it will adopt stricter emission regulations in 2003, and make special restrictions on large-displacement and high-power engines used in cars such as GTR. This regulation almost gave a death sentence to Japanese performance sports cars such as BNR34, which means that production can only continue until 2003. So from 200 1, Nissan launched a series of special editions for BNR34 almost crazily. After all, Japanese car manufacturers will spare no effort to launch various enhanced special editions or limited editions only when the production of a performance car is coming to an end. During this period, the famous NISMO 400R and the strongest official special edition Z-Tune in GT-R history were produced. GT-RZ-Tune has also set a new price record for GT-R. At today's exchange rate, 6.5438+0.745 million yen (about 6.5438+0.28 million RMB) can almost buy the current CBAR 35 SPEC-V.

Sixth generation: GT-RR35 (code name: CBAR35)

GT-RR35

As mentioned above, the year of 200 1 is of great significance to GT-R. On the one hand, it announced the death of BNR34, on the other hand, it also meant the rebirth of GT-R. This summer, a new generation of skyline was released, and the extreme alcoholization made her become a guy like those small sports cars in European car factories. The design of rectangular headlights and four-round taillights that have maintained the skyline for many years has also been abandoned, and fans can no longer see the hope of developing a new generation of GT-R. It seems that GT-R cars will fall into that long silence again. In Tokyo in the same year, Nissan dispelled the doubts of fans. They announced loudly to the world next to the R35 Concpet concept car on the booth that GT-R will break away from the skyline and become a brand-new independent car. In other words, she will no longer be the ultimate performance version of a performance RV, but an independent supercar.

GT-RR35

In 2008, BNR34 was released 10 years later, the long wait finally ended. CBAR35 came into this world. 10 years ago, those young people who drove BNR34 to eat the road on the expressway or racecourse had entered middle age, but GT-R was not old. She came back with expectations and the latest technology. This generation of GT-R will never be despised by those European cars like its predecessor BNR32 when it is tested in the North Ring Road of New Boglin. At that time, even an extremely ordinary golf GTI was unwilling to give the car to BNR32. Now, all the car factories in Europe are on the verge of being attacked between Scylla and Charybdis, and media cameras have been paying attention to GT-R since the day it was transported to the North Ring Road. Nissan obviously did not let everyone down. GT-R's lap time has changed from 7 minutes and 38 seconds to 7 minutes and 29 seconds now. GT-R silenced the Europeans. They will never say that Japanese cars are soulless family cars again.

Rear dual-clutch gearbox, updated ATTESA E-TS Pro system, brand-new VR38DETT engine, etc. CBAR35 is a bright spot, and the amazing lap times set by these technologies have made Nissan's huge development funds for so many years not in vain. In the Super GT competition, the GT-RGT500 car won the championship record again after leaving the track for many years, sweeping away the haze of the poor record of the FaiRLady Z GT500 and rewriting the legend of God of War in the top events in Japan. The god of war is back!

Four generations under one roof: R32, R33, R34, R35
