What does camera APS-C frame mean?

APS-C frame means that the CCD(CMOS) size of digital camera is similar to APS-C frame, which is about 25mmX 17mm. It is almost half the area of CCD(CMOS) in Quan Huafu, also called half-width machine.

Because the area of CCD(CMOS) is reduced and the cost is reduced, digital SLR is popularized. The price difference between Quan Huafu and the cheapest half-frame camera is nearly five times. Most digital cameras are in APS-C format.

APS-C is a full frame with one end cut off at the left and right ends, with an aspect ratio of 3:2( 16.6x24.9) and a diagonal length of 29.3mm, which is equivalent to 1.7 inch. The aspect ratio of aps-c is the same as that of 135 negative.

Extended data

The biggest difference between APS-C photographic film and traditional photographic film is that the film is not only coated with emulsion, but also coated with a transparent magnetic medium. APS-C photographic film not only has all the functions of traditional film, but also has the ability of digital writing, using the perforated edge and the strip guide area on the other side of the film.

During the shooting process, you can record the relevant data of shooting at any time on the film, such as focal length, aperture, speed, color temperature and date.

APS-C camera also stores 100 kinds of gifts, congratulations or titles in more than ten languages. You can select the required and photographing requirements through the buttons on the back of the camera, record the information on the film, or modify it.
