What tools do you need to observe the solar eclipse?

Tools are needed to observe the solar eclipse:

Method 1: Use eclipse glasses.

There are special eclipse glasses on the market. This kind of glasses has a good observation effect and does not hurt the eyes.

Method 2: pinhole imaging method

The appearance of pinhole instrument can be made into astronomical telescope. The main body is a straight tube with an inner diameter of not less than 2 cm and a length of one or two meters. One end of the tube is covered with translucent flat plastic film or ground glass as a projection screen, the other end is sealed with opaque cardboard, and then a pinhole is punched in the middle of the cardboard. During the solar eclipse, the pinhole instrument is supported like a telescope. The pinhole is aimed at the sun, and a small and clear image of the sun can be obtained on the projection screen with a little adjustment.

Method 3: Telescope projection

After the image of the sun passes through the telescope, it will be projected on the ground, and the solar eclipse will be watched by observing the projection. But don't watch the solar eclipse directly through the telescope, which will lead to blindness in serious cases. If you use an astronomical telescope for observation, you need professional guidance.

Method 4: Welding goggles

There is a shop that specializes in welding goggles. However, it should be noted that welding goggles are different from sunglasses, and sunglasses cannot be used to observe the solar eclipse.
