On the riverside in summer night, under the persuasion of Fang Zishan, an old man practicing Tai Ji Chuan on the shore, Zhan gave up the idea of committing suicide by throwing himself into the river, but a girl Wen jumped into the river before Zhan and the old man rescued Wen ashore and were escorted home by Zhan. In the villa where Wen lives, Wen takes out wine and drinks with Zhan. I don't know whether it was under the intoxication of wine or under the temptation of Wen that Zhan had sex with that girl. However, when I woke up in the morning, Wen was gone. In the process of searching for Wen, I found a man's body in a bedroom on the second floor and ran out in horror.

During the narration, Interpol Wu Ming mentioned a woman named Lu Susu. Zhan nervously told Wu Ming that all this had nothing to do with Lu Susu and told her about her relationship with Lu Susu. Zhan and Lu Susu met and fell in love in a rural school where he once worked. Soon, Lu Susu was taken back to the city by a rich old man and soon got married. After he found the man's body, he contacted Lu Susu, who persuaded Zhan to find out that the murderer was innocent. With the help of Lu Susu, he got Wen's phone number through the community security, got in touch with him and met him. Wen admitted that he killed the man by mistake and told him about his innocent past with that man Feng Dingshan. After knowing the truth, Zhan not only refused to surrender, but advised her to escape.

Interpol Wu Ming interrupted Zhan's story and asked Zhan about bribing the security guard 1 10,000 yuan. Seeing that his bribery behavior has been mastered by the police, he had to confess that once Feng Dingshan's murder was discovered, he was afraid that the security guard Zhou Xiaolin would expose himself, so he borrowed Zhou Fu's hospitalization fee and gave Zhou Xiaolin 10,000 yuan to hush money.

Under Wu Ming's inquiry, Zhou told him the reason for his suicide. Vince Tao said that he worked hard to come to the city to earn some money, all of which went up in smoke in a business, so he had the idea of suicide. He never imagined that he had saved Wen who committed suicide but didn't die.

Wu Ming told Zhan that Fang Zishan, who saved him by the lake, used to be the deputy director of the Public Security Bureau in charge of criminal investigation, and previously served as the detachment leader of the criminal investigation detachment. After saving Zhan that day, he became suspicious, so the police launched a series of investigations on Zhan. Seeing that everything was in the hands of the police, Zhan had to admit all his crimes. Zhan and Wen once knew each other and had a hidden relationship. Feng Dingshan found out when they were having an affair. After killing Feng by mistake, they planned a scene by the river to confuse the police and escape the punishment of the law. And admitted that Lu Susu's husband's death was also caused by him.

Zhan's love for the rich leads to hatred for the rich, and his beloved woman is unwilling to throw herself into the arms of the rich.
