What do backpackers need to prepare for traveling abroad?

Backpackers must prepare these when they travel. Some people say that equipment is not everything, but for backpackers, some equipment will play a key role in your critical moment. There is a lot of discussion about equipment on the Internet, but too much is dazzling. I collected some and provided a simple equipment encyclopedia according to my own experience. But they are all basic equipment for new donkeys to get started, excluding some professional climbing materials.

1. Backpack:

The first equipment for backpackers, otherwise there would be no such thing as a hiker. The size of the backpack depends on the distance, generally about 25 liters around Shenzhen. Long-distance travel, MM needs 45-55 liters, GG needs more than 55 liters, and the bearing capacity must be strong; When you buy a backpack again, you must try it well and ask the clerk about the correct use of the backpack, otherwise you may not be able to reduce the burden, even during the trip. There is a lot of information about buying and using backpacks. If necessary, I will sort out some information and upload it later.

2. shoes:

In fact, shoes should be more important than backpacks, because they are most directly related to your personal safety. Must be non-slip shoes or hiking shoes, ordinary sports shoes are not considered. Hiking shoes should have a high waist, which can protect the ankle bones. It is easy for people to get hurt when they walk for a long time.

A good pair of boots will provide your feet with reliable and comfortable service for many years in the wild. If you often go outdoors, the time, energy and expenses spent on choosing the best boots are well worth investing. Information about hiking shoes can be written in books. We'll discuss it later.

3. Suburbs:

No matter what season, you must wear long clothes and trousers. Walking in the grass on the mountain will protect your body well, preferably waterproof. If possible, it is recommended to wear stormtroopers or quick-drying jumpsuits. Never wear jeans for long-distance hiking, which will seriously affect the activities of your legs, and once you get wet, it will become a great burden for you;

4. Underwear:

It is recommended not to wear cotton for close-fitting clothes. In foreign mountaineering circles, cotton underwear is called "clothes worn by the dead", because the sweat absorption of cotton underwear will freeze you to death after exercising in cold areas. Of course, if you don't go to the alpine region, it's not that scary.

5. Knee pads and ankle pads:

Any long-distance hiking should bring a pair of knee pads and ankle pads. Knee injury is difficult to recover, and its injury may be lifelong;

6. hat:

Wide-brimmed hat is better, which can not only shade the sun, but also avoid the grass when walking in the mountains, and is also very useful when it rains; In cold areas, hats can also reduce the heat dissipation of your head; A considerable proportion of human heat is radiated from the head, especially when the temperature is low.

7. Gloves:

Walking in grass and rocks has a great protective effect, but it should be noted that gloves will bring a danger, which will reduce the sensitivity of hands;

8. Sunglasses:

Shading requirements. But it will definitely bring visual errors, so be careful when using it in dangerous sections;

9. Close-fitting moisture-proof bag:

I don't seem to have seen this mentioned in any merits, but I personally think it is a necessity. You can choose to put your wallet, documents, mobile phones and other important items in it. This way, even if the upstream falls into the water, you don't have to worry about the loss.

10. Towels:

For wiping sweat. You will find it very convenient. In dusty places, you can get wet and cover your nose and mouth to resist dust.

1 1. Toilet:

You can take toiletries with you when traveling for a long time.

12. Slippers or sandals:

If the equipment is not particularly heavy, you can take it with you and use it at rest. Putting on slippers at the end of a day's trip is a very FB thing;

13. Sunscreen and lipstick:

Outdoor sunshine is strong and windy, so it can be carried in a small amount to prevent sunburn and chapped lips; ;

14. Tent:

The waterproof index is good, and it is suggested that 1500 is around or above. If you don't climb the mountain, from a practical point of view, the windproof performance can be ignored. In fact, according to my experience, campsites generally choose sheltered places, so what performance introduced in many raiders may not be used.

Watch the weight. Regardless of more than 3kg, it is now a glass fiber rod, generally around 2.5kg;

It is recommended not to pay the bill, because the tent for two people is not heavy, and it can help the same group to reduce the burden when they are in group activities. What's more, when you are alone, you can go to Mesa, big and small, for romance from time to time, moonlight beach ...;

15. Sleeping bags and damp-proof mats:

If there is a tent, of course, you need sleeping bags and moisture-proof mats. If there are many activities around Shenzhen in the future, the applicable temperature need not be too low; If you often go to cold places, the applicable temperature should be below zero. If you have a place to live for a long time, bringing a sleeping bag will also have a clean and hygienic effect.

16. Headlight or flashlight:

We can't always calculate our itinerary accurately. When we postpone our trip, we must. When the Three Gorges boarded goddess peak, dozens of us (and other domestic donkey friends) went down the mountain. It was already dark, and the car lights played a role in saving lives.

If you have camping activities, you will also use headlights or flashlights. Camping lights can be ignored for the time being.

17. raincoat:

No matter whether it is long or short, we are more likely to encounter rain on the road, so having a raincoat can protect us from the rain. Of course, disposable white plastic ponchos are also possible (FB can be a local tablecloth).

18. kindling:

It is best to be windproof;

19. Cutter:

Sharp multifunctional saber should be your first choice, and its saw and knife may be used most frequently outdoors; Moreover, the knife may sometimes be used with drugs, such as being bitten by a snake, so it must be sharp.

If possible, it would be more reassuring to have a bigger dagger. I was very excited to see a diving dagger in a diving shop once. Unfortunately, the price of nearly 2K makes me ...

20. Compass:

Outdoor activities are necessary, not to mention the specific functions? But only if you know how to use it.

2 1. Whistle:

When traveling with a group, it is an effective tool to contact peers. When traveling alone, you can save lives in an emergency. But we must know how to use it correctly and know some necessary communication methods, such as asking for help and asking about the situation. For example, two long tones indicate an emergency. At least the whole team should have a unified whistle rule. Otherwise, it's better not to blow around.

Another function of whistling is to vent your pride and sense of accomplishment, because your voice is hoarse easily. I seem to use it more, hehe.

22. Drugs:

Take a proper amount when traveling alone, and you can buy it when traveling in groups, without increasing the backpack load. The standing medicines mainly include the following: Huoxiang Zhengqi Water, Collateral Oil/Safflower Oil, Refreshing Oil/essential balm, Yunnan Baiyao (powder and spray), Cimin, alcohol, erythromycin ointment, bandage+gauze, band-aid, snake medicine and cold medicine;

23. rope:

For ropes, I feel that team travel is more necessary than walking alone. But you must be familiar with all kinds of knotting methods. A 30-meter climbing rope should be enough for most things. I don't seem to have used it once.

24. Stoves, gas tanks, cookers, etc.

Their advantage is that they can make you eat hot, especially when there are long queues and the weather is cold. This is good for replenishing energy.

But I don't recommend configuring such appliances. The reason is that carrying too much weight will greatly reduce the fun of hiking. Of course, this is a matter of opinion.

25. Photographic equipment:

It is not recommended to bring a tripod for long-distance walking, but it is best to bring enough film;

26. Communication equipment: used for communication;

27. Dry food and drinking water: carry a small amount, which can be used when the trip is delayed;

28. Documents: ID cards and other documents.
