Why does the waterproof infrared camera flash? How to solve it?

As mentioned above, when the light intensity is lower than the threshold, the infrared lamp is turned on to emit light. When it is above the threshold, it is turned off. Let's consider the case that the light intensity is slightly lower than the threshold: the photosensitive element detects that the light intensity is slightly lower than the threshold, and controls the infrared lamp to turn on and emit light-after the infrared lamp emits light, the detected light increases (infrared light returns in the opposite direction) and exceeds the threshold, and the infrared lamp is controlled to turn off and thus the detected light decreases, and the infrared lamp is controlled to turn on again. This repetition causes the image to flicker.

So how to solve this problem?

The problem is that the ambient illuminance detected by the photosensitive element is slightly lower than the threshold. There are two situations:

First, at some point in the evening, in a short time, this problem appeared. If you don't want to increase the cost, use the general pericardium. Our idea is to explain the reasons clearly to users and tolerate them.

Second, this problem must be solved under the condition of stable light intensity.

1, change the threshold.

The same model of products, the threshold is different, there are discrete. Replacing the product may solve the problem. The manufacturer shall provide products with different design thresholds for replacement. Products with higher threshold design parameters are less likely to flicker.

2. Adopt high-quality camera core with low illumination and backlight compensation to prevent glare, especially special IR lens;

In addition, when someone or other objects near the infrared camera reflect infrared light, it will cause the detected illuminance to change repeatedly and cause flicker. For example, when doing demonstration tests and tests, when the camera is installed at a lower position, when there is an object blocking the camera at close range.

This is not a problem. This phenomenon will disappear naturally when the infrared camera is in the normal installation position. For example, when demonstrating, just be careful not to let infrared light directly reflect the photosensitive element from a very close distance.

Step 3 change the environment

Change the intensity and angle of the light.

Slightly changing the installation angle of the infrared camera, moving up and down, left and right, the illuminance detected by the detector will change greatly and will leave near the threshold, thus solving the flicker problem.
