Brief introduction of flower drum

Fengyang Flower Drum is also called Double Drum, Flower Drum Gong and Flower Drum Play. It is a kind of Han opera in Anhui province. Fengyang Flower Drum, Flower Drum Lantern and Fengyang Flower Drum Opera are also called Fengyang Three Flowers. Originated at the end of Yuan Dynasty, it was popular in Ming and Qing Dynasties. At first, it was in the form of two sisters-in-law, one beating the drum, the other beating the gong, singing a minor, and knocking between the drum and the gong. Nowadays, Fengyang Flower Drum has developed into a group dance performance form with six people, eight people or more. In 2006, it was selected into the first batch of national intangible cultural heritage, and the representative inheritors are Sun Fengcheng and Lu Zhonghe.
