Why is Roman Holiday a high-scoring movie in many people's minds?

The whole movie is in black and white tones, starting with the accidental meeting of the protagonist Princess Anne and newspaper reporter Joe. The early stage belongs to a broader perspective of activities, mainly describing Princess Anne's visit to Rome, sneaking out of the palace with an unbearable daily schedule and meeting Joe, a poor newspaper reporter who came back from playing cards. It was their meeting that made the emotional line of this "princess fleeing" clear. After a day of getting along, Joe is considerate to Annie, and Annie trusts Joe. Until the black guards wanted to bring the princess back, the princess and Joe jumped into the water together. They walked towards each other from the steps of different heights, but finally they returned to their own steps. But the time they spent together has become one of the most precious memory fragments in each other's lives.
