How to use EDIUS to intercept the video taken by the camera with tape and generate a data file?

1. Connect the camera's 1394 output interface with the computer's 1394 socket with a 1394 cable. In this step, turn on the computer and turn off the camera.

2. Turn on the camera after making sure the connection is correct. At this time, a system sound connected to an external device will come from the computer speaker, and then the camera mode will change from recording mode to playing mode.

3. If you hear this sound, it's good. Your 1394 card is good. Start EDIUS6, find "acquisition" in the menu bar and click it, and a drop-down menu will appear, where you can select "Select acquisition device". After that, the dialog box of your favorite project files will pop up, which is divided into 16:9, 4:3, HD collection, SD collection and so on. Just double-click the camera that matches your camera.

4. If you are using EDIUS6 for collection for the first time, you may be required to make some collection settings in Step 3 above. Please set it according to the specific situation of your camera and the data file you want to generate.

5. If there is no problem in the previous steps, the word "acquisition" in the acquisition menu has changed from gray unavailable to white available. Click on it and the collection will begin.

6. When you start a new project of EDIUS6, the collected data files (usually AVI files) are usually stored under the drive letter set.
