Introduction to Weng Naiqiang
Weng Naiqiang 1 (1936-) was originally from Longyan, Fujian, and was born in Jakarta, Indonesia. In 1951, he returned to China and studied at Yuying Middle School. He entered the High School Affiliated to the Central Academy of Fine Arts in 1954 and graduated from the Oil Painting Department of the Central Academy of Fine Arts in 1963. In 1964, he was assigned to the Japanese version of "People's China" magazine to engage in fine art photography. He served as editorial board member, director of the fine arts photography department, and chief reporter of the magazine. Member of the Chinese Artists Association, member of the Chinese Photographers Association, and vice president of the Chinese Overseas Chinese Photography Society.
