Surrealist character works
Surrealism literature advocates that there is a so-called "other side" world besides the real world, that is, the unconscious or subconscious world, which is more real than the former. Surrealism denies realism and traditional novels, and is hostile to all moral traditions, believing that this is the root of mediocrity and hatred. The reason why the novel becomes the darling of literature is that it adapts to the readers' pursuit of reflecting life logically. It wants to break all this, pursue "purely mental automatic reaction, and try to express the practical function of thinking orally, in writing or in any other form through this reaction. " Surrealists look for and collect the primitive state of human thinking in public places such as cafes and cinemas, and create on this basis. In the late 1920s, there was a split within the movement. 1930, Brighton published the second declaration of surrealism, reaffirming the principles of the movement: the absoluteness of resistance, the thoroughness of disobedience and the destructiveness of rules and regulations. Because surrealist photography does not take recording reality as its own responsibility, the objects in its works cannot be its original intention in the objective world. Every object appears as a visual image symbol, and surrealist photographers use these symbols as words to create "image sentences", which are difficult to translate into "language sentences" and often contain a kind of emotion, a ray of poetry, some sensibility and a little politics.
Surrealism originates from Dadaism, whose motto is to change the world, eliminate wars and diseases, and make freedom, primitive love, spontaneous germination and dreams eternal. In fact, surrealism disappeared as early as 1966 with the death of Andel Braden, and then surrealism was repeatedly abused and misused, and was named as "new surrealism" and "new cubism".
