Where did the Asian summer monsoon and the Oriental monsoon originate?
Formation of East Asian summer monsoon: In summer, the temperature of the mainland is higher than that of the ocean at the same latitude. A thermal depression (Asian depression or Indian depression) is formed near India on the Asian continent, and the Asian depression cuts off the subtropical high zone. The subtropical high is divided into two parts, which exist in the North Pacific and the North Atlantic respectively. The Hawaiian high in the North Pacific affects East Asia in the form of southeast monsoon, which is the summer monsoon in East Asia. In summer in the northern hemisphere, the pressure belt winds move northward, while the southeast trade winds in the southern hemisphere move northward and deflect across the equator, forming the southwest monsoon, which is the summer monsoon in South Asia. As shown below.
Formation of Asian winter monsoon: In winter, the continental temperature is lower than the ocean temperature at the same latitude, and a cold high pressure (Asian high or Mongolian Siberian high) is formed on the continent. The Asian high affects most parts of Asia in the form of northeast wind and northwest wind, which is the winter wind in Asia. As shown below.
