Anhui has many beautiful scenery, many of which are in desolate mountains and forests. For a hundred or a thousand years, some are famous ancient villages, while others are unknown. However, this ancient village in Xiuning, Anhui Province, is like a pearl scattered on the earth. It's Zuyuan Village.

Zuyuan Village, located in the southwest of Xikou Town, Xiuning County, is 7.6 kilometers away from the nearest town. At first, it was just a mountain village that mainly produced forest tea. The villagers are simple and carefree, and people have been living a simple living where the sun rises and the sun sets. Just because it is far away from the city, its quaint charm has become one of the top 100 photographic attractions in Huangshan City, and it has been selected as a beautiful leisure village in China in 2020, which is gradually attracting more people to visit here.

Zuyuan village is located at the waist of a mountain at an altitude of 685 meters. The history of this village can be traced back to the Song Dynasty. Its long history makes it full of ancient charm. When you walk into the village, you can see ancient bridges, houses, ancient trees and some ancient relics.

A friend once asked me how there was water on the mountain. I can only say that the water is as high as the mountain, so even those villages located at the top of the mountain have water sources and are of high quality.

Entering the entrance of Zuyuan Village, the first thing you see is a big water mouth. The gurgling water keeps flowing. There are many ancient trees in the village, especially a thousand-year-old yew, which the village is proud of.

Since ancient times, people have regarded it as a sacred tree with some red ribbons hanging on it. It can be seen that people pray for peace and health here. This tree has a history of 1200 years, with a height of 27 meters and a circumference of 5 meters. Known as the "King of Taxus chinensis in Huizhou".

The architecture of Zuyuan Village is a typical Huizhou architecture, with white walls and blue tiles and cornices. They show Huizhou architecture to the fullest. I don't know why, I always feel nostalgic when I see Huizhou architecture. I like to pursue those disappearing relics. They can bring me more soul collisions and are often intoxicating.

Walking on the road of the ancient village, the road is not smooth, and it fluctuates with the mountains. There is some moss on the slate road, and the gurgling stream flows slowly. Villagers wash clothes by the stream, wooden sticks, washboards, bamboo fences, stone tubes ... Looking at these, it seems that they have returned to those years that have gone away. People in the city should rarely see such a scene.

People usually cook with mountain spring water. There are no mineral water, pure water and other water sources here. Mountain spring is enough!

In Zuyuan village, because of the terrain, people have planted crops between hillsides since ancient times, and over time, a large terraced landscape has been formed. If it is in the spring season, it is a beautiful scene. Therefore, many photographers have traveled not far from Wan Li to come to this magnificent scene hidden in the mountains.

Whether it is early morning or dusk, looking down from a height, the village seems to be hidden between clouds, mixed with the smoke from the roof and floating in the air, adding a charm. The mountains are beautiful, and every family is blue and white. Beautiful Huizhou architecture, high and low, seems to be patchwork, but in fact it is patchwork, with a kind of broadness of "picking chrysanthemums under the east fence and seeing Nanshan leisurely"

Today's Zuyuan Village is no longer the remote mountain village that was once unknown. Many people who come here to play are attracted by it. There is no convenient transportation here, but it can't stop people's enthusiasm.

Many villagers' houses on the mountain are hung with red lanterns, and some people's lintels are engraved with the big words "feel at home" to welcome guests. There are flowers everywhere at the door, and there are all kinds of flowers, green plants, rockeries and streams around the house. In the golden autumn, many houses are covered with golden corn cobs. Living in such an environment sometimes feels like walking into a fairyland on earth.
