It’s the annual graduation season again, and I’m about to graduate from my alma mater, Dongguan Institute of Technology. This time, I finally take on the role of the protagonist. Since my travel selfie post went viral last year, I have been thinking about applying my selfie skills to group graduation photos, and compiled high-style self-portrait graduation photo posts for everyone.

Literacy

I believe many friends have already seen the travel selfies last year. Everyone is interested in taking selfies. There should be a new perspective, and now a new and fun selfie project is launched: group selfie (selfie graduation photo included). Selfie, as the name suggests, this function is mainly for users who want to take pictures of themselves when using digital cameras, mobile phones and other shooting tools alone. Group selfies are used when one person in the group uses a digital camera, mobile phone and other shooting tools to capture images of the group.

Preparation

What should you do before taking graduation photos? Let me tell you one by one:

1. Determine the time

Many senior students are doing internships in the last semester, so they need to advance Decide on the time you want to shoot. In addition, May and June begin to enter the summer, which is relatively hot, so I recommend that senior students shoot in the autumn and winter seasons in the first semester, except for those who have been approved for bachelor's degree uniforms. Firstly, the weather is cool and suitable for outdoor shooting. Secondly, The weather is too hot and makeup will melt away. Thirdly, everyone has classes at school and is relatively close together. Fourthly, there are more styles of autumn and winter clothes, so the shooting effect will be cooler than a monotonous T-shirt or shirt. The time schedule of the day is recommended to start shooting at 13:00 in the afternoon. The sun is strong from 13:00 to 16:00, which is suitable for indoor shooting, such as libraries, classrooms, etc. After 16:00, the sun begins to soften, and outdoor shooting can be started, such as playgrounds and school roads. wait.

2. Gather the number of people

As the saying goes, it is better to have fun alone than to have fun together. The graduation photo will be struck by lightning. Therefore, you have to put on a show together, and the thought of having to do multiple exposures to fill up the number of people when taking graduation photos by yourself is quite distressing. It is better to invite a few buddies who drank wine together when they were broken up, and gossiped about the whole class when they were bored. Sisters take photos together. The appropriate number of people is 8 to 10 people. If there are too few people, it won’t look like a graduation photo. If there are too many people, it will be difficult to control the venue.

3. Clothing accessories

There are no hard and fast rules for clothing, but I have soft suggestions: it is best to have uniform clothing. The normal combination is white shirt + black trousers + Black leather shoes, the unique ones are full basketball uniforms, dinosaur pajamas, Sailor Moon uniforms, etc. If all the clothes cannot be unified, you can choose clothes that everyone owns in common, such as NB sneakers, AJ sneakers, etc. The color also needs to be communicated in advance. For my graduation photo, I chose a white T-shirt + dark trousers/trousers + casual shoes. The last color is white, which makes it clear at a glance.

There are many accessories, such as bachelor’s hats, ties, bow ties, red scarves, sunglasses (a tool for showing off), etc. If you want something a bit weird, you can buy some monster masks.

4. Equipment

(1) SLR + lens: The SLR body I use is Canon 5D MARK III, the lenses are Canon EF 16~35mm F/2.8L II and Canon EF 24~70mm F/2.8L II, one super wide-angle and one Only the Zoom Portrait King is enough for taking selfie graduation photos.

(2) Tripod: Futubao MGC-684N+T7 professional carbon fiber tripod, ultra-portable and ultra-stable outdoor SLR camera tripod.

(3) Wireless shutter remote control: Pinse T8, high cost performance. It should be noted that the wireless shutter remote controls configured for different cameras are inconsistent, so you need to understand them clearly before purchasing.
