Tianjin Academy of Fine Arts, referred to as Tianjin Academy of Fine Arts, is located in Tianjin. It is one of the nine most influential fine arts colleges in China, an important art education and research center in northern China, one of the eight independent fine arts colleges in China, and a national-level talent training mode innovation experimental area.
The predecessor of the College is Beiyang Women's Normal School founded by China modern educator Fu Zengxiang on 1906.
After the founding of New China, the school was renamed several times, including Hebei Teachers College, Hebei Tianjin Teachers College, Hebei Art Teachers College, Hebei Academy of Fine Arts and Tianjin Art College. 1980 officially changed its name to Tianjin Academy of Fine Arts. In 2008, the college was approved as a national-level experimental area for innovative talent training mode.
As of June 2022, the school has two campuses, Tianwei Road and Zhicheng Road, covering an area of 1 17700 square meters and a building area of 15500 square meters. Beiyang Women's Normal School:1June, 906 13 (April 22nd, the thirty-second year of Guangxu reign in Qing Dynasty), Beiyang Women's Normal School was founded by Fu Zengxiang, a modern educator in China and prime minister of Tianjin Women's School in Qing Dynasty. Located at the west entrance of Sancaili, Sanma Road, Hebei Province, Tianjin, the school is the earliest public normal school for women in China.
19 10, moved to Tianwei Road. 1926, during the prosperous period of national art activities, the school set up an art department from the late division of grade 23 at that time, and at the same time added three special classrooms for western painting, Chinese painting and pattern painting, which made the school have an art major.
Hebei Women's Teachers College:1June, 929, the drawing department of the college was established, which was originally affiliated to the Department of Home Economics. In 1934, the drawing subsystem was changed to an independent subsystem. Courses include traditional Chinese painting, western painting, pattern and technique theory.
