In photography, how to match background pictures according to clothes?

I don't do photography, but I do backstage. I made some suggestions in the later period, hoping to be useful.

If it is white and light-colored clothing, if you want a high-value picture, the clean color background with lighter taste is very good, and you can take beautiful photos with post-modification. You can also shoot some deep backgrounds that can highlight the theme characters, but it is best to choose a single and uncomplicated color element for the background, and the light and shadow should be in place;

If the clothes are fashionable and bright colors or clothes with colorful patterns, my personal feeling is that it is suitable for shooting after 80 s and 90 s, and it is suitable for choosing some colorful and relatively abstract avant-garde backgrounds to unify the tone and atmosphere of the whole photo.

If it is dark clothing, I personally think it should be more difficult than other matching backgrounds. If it is a high-profile background, it is easy for people to jump out of the photo. If it is a dark background, it requires more light and shadow. If it is a neutral background, it is very mediocre. Here is a gradient map. The gradient picture here is that the surrounding dark color gradually changes to medium dark color, and the hierarchical relationship between the background and the characters can be separated in the main position of the photo. Coupled with the later decoration, it can highlight the level and let the characters blend in well with the background.

I observed that there are two extremes in the shooting method of big red and green clothes.

1 unify the tone to make the background color consistent with the clothing color.

2 Use dark or light colors to increase the contrast between clothes and background (I recommend using dark and light backgrounds here, which are generally not ideal for clothes showing red and green)

The two extremes here are that the key to a good work lies in the photographer's idea of the work.

In addition: if photographers try to avoid the red flowers and green grass and flowing rivers when buying the background, to be honest, I really haven't seen many good photos on this background in recent years. After all, the color saturation of digital inkjet is too high, and it is easy to get rid of the relationship between text and background. It is best to choose more colors and relatively neutral tones.

All this is for some new photographers. If you are just an ordinary guest, you'd better listen to the background of the photographer you don't like in the studio. Maybe he can make a good work.
