The night scene taken by the elf trio is so dark. What happened?

Take a night view to master the following points:

(1) Shooting night scenes in scene mode.

Accurate exposure control is the key to shooting night scenes with digital cameras. The night lighting is complex, colorful and uneven, which makes it more difficult to determine the exposure. But digital cameras use electronic components (CCD and CMOS), which are more resistant to light than film. If the exposure control is not accurate enough, it is easy to overexpose or underexpose, resulting in the loss of details in the light and dark parts of the picture. Fortunately, digital cameras now provide a relatively perfect automatic exposure mode, so it is best to use the "program automatic" exposure mode (P block) or "night shooting" mode when shooting at night, so as to accurately grasp the exposure. Moreover, in the night scene mode, the processor of the digital camera will also use a special algorithm to control the noise and make the picture more delicate.

(2) Grasp the key points of night shooting.

At present, digital cameras have adopted a combination of automatic focusing and manual focusing. Each focusing method has its own characteristics and applicable objects, such as numerical adjustment manual focusing and focus ring manual focusing. Numerical adjustment Manual focusing can achieve accurate focusing by adjusting the distance in the LCD screen. This focusing method is troublesome to operate and requires high distance judgment, but it can be effective for shooting night scenes.

Generally speaking, the accuracy and speed of autofocus of non-SLR or quasi-SLR digital cameras need to be improved. Because it is difficult for ordinary digital camera focusing sensors to focus on scenes with low contrast and low brightness accurately, when focusing on night scenes, we should focus on bright scenes as much as possible, and then lock the focal length for composition.

(3) Master the white balance setting of night scene shooting.

Different from traditional camera shooting, digital cameras do not achieve white balance by adding color filters, but only adjust the color of the whole image through built-in programs. When shooting at night, automatic white balance is generally not selected. Although automatic white balance is the most common setting, it can not achieve good results in any light. In order to highlight the bright colors of neon lights at night, you can set the white balance to "daylight" or "outdoor" mode. Of course, under different shooting conditions, we can try to change other modes to get the best shooting effect.
