What's the tourist situation in Shanghai?

Shanghai Hongqiao airport

It's really difficult to play around Shanghai. Why? Wallets should be bulging. Ha ha.

But it is not without an entrance. When people mention Shanghai, their first impression is naturally the Bund. The World Architecture Expo is really spectacular. Pay special attention to the HSBC Building of Shanghai Pudong Development Bank, which was also the former municipal government building. It was once known as the most magnificent building in the Far East. Be sure to see the mural on the ceiling of its hall, or what it looked like in the concession era. Next door to it is the customs building, with a big clock. Sassoon Building is also worth mentioning. Peace Hotel (now under maintenance) is also a landmark building starting from Shili Nanjing Road. At one end of the Bund, there is the broadway mansions, which is now called Shanghai Tower. Its rooftop restaurant is the best place to overlook the Bund and feel the atmosphere of Shili Yangchang. The Pujiang Hotel next to it also retains the iron cable elevator in the concession era. When Chaplin arrived in Shanghai, everything looked like old Shanghai. When you step into the hotel, it feels like going back in time. If you are tired from walking on the Bund, you can take a ferry to Pudong on the other side. There is also a Bund, but the background has been changed to Lujiazui Financial District headed by the Oriental Pearl. Jinmao Tower, once the tallest building in China, has just been replaced by the World Financial Center behind it, and a higher Shanghai Tower is under construction. Here, you can sit on the shore with a cup of coffee and wait for the western lights to fall. At this time, the Bund is the most beautiful. This time is not like China, not like the whole old Europe in the industrial revolution era.

If you think that Shanghai only has these European-style old buildings in the concession era, it is all wet. Even in the concession era, Shanghai retained a place with a pure Chinese style, just like Chinatown overseas now. No matter how westernized it is, it stubbornly continues everything in ancient China. It is the Chenghuang Temple, which was the center of Shanghai before the era of Shili Yangchang. It even has a typical Suzhou garden-Yu Garden. If Shanghai people are pregnant with old age, you must go to Suzhou. Be sure to try the steamed buns of Nanxiang Steamed Bread Shop in Chenghuangmiao, which has a branch in Roppongi, Tokyo. You can also try some classic local dishes at the Green Wave Gallery or the Old Shanghai Hotel.

Naturally, you come to Shanghai to have a look. Nanjing Road used to be called the main road. Even in the era of material poverty, Nanjing Road has everything. This is where the reputation of Shanghai goods spread. Time goes back to the concession era, and the four major companies on Nanjing Road have been leading the fashion trend in Shanghai. Daxin Company (now the first department store), Xinxin Company (now the food store), Shixian Company (now the fashion store) and Yongan Company. After visiting these four major companies, the day has actually passed, and my legs are sore and my feet hurt. The section of Nanjing Road from the Bund to People's Square is called Nanjing East Road, which is bounded by international hotels. The International Hotel was once the tallest building in Shanghai, the central landmark in the concession era in Shanghai, and its appearance was the most popular modern architectural style in the United States in the 1920s and 1930s. The Daguangming Cinema next door (currently under renovation) is also one of the earliest and most advanced cinemas in Shanghai. It has always been a very emotional thing for Shanghainese to go to the movies in Daguangming. Nanjing West Road to the west of the International Hotel has changed the style of Nanjing East Road. The shopping malls in Meilong Town, led by Hang Lung, CITIC Pacific and Isetan, are firmly following the high-end route synchronized with the world, and there are also many old shops in the past century written by Zhang Ailing, such as Kaiseling West Point, Deda Western Restaurant (Shanghai-style western food), Kutokuhayashi Vegetarian Restaurant and Mellon Town Restaurant (Shanghai-style Sichuan food). In the traditional sense, Jing 'an Temple is the end of Shili Nanjing Road, and the Changde apartment next to it is the former residence of Zhang Ailing, as well as the ballroom, which is most easily reminiscent of the socialites, dancers and countless assassination plots in old Shanghai. I recommend you take bus No.20, which is the earliest public tram line in Shanghai. From the starting point of Jiujiang intersection on the Bund to Jing 'an Temple, you can fully appreciate the flavor of Shili Nanjing Road, the first street in China.

Tiananmen Square in Beijing is a must. Shanghai is naturally the People's Square. This is the racetrack in the old society. Of course, there are no horse races now, and the subsidiary building of the racecourse has also been changed to Shanghai Art Museum. In the center of the square is the Shanghai Museum, which looks like the treasure of the town hall. Facing the Shanghai Municipal Government, the Shanghai Grand Theatre and the Urban Architecture Planning Museum are on both sides of the municipal government. Don't underestimate the Shanghai Museum. It is one of the four major museums in China (the other three are the Palace Museum, Shaanxi Museum and Henan Zhongyuan Museum). It is completely free (admission is by ticket, and there may be no ticket when there are many people). This is well worth seeing. Raffles city, located at the intersection of People's Square and Fuzhou, is a paradise for young people in Shanghai, and it is always crowded with trendy young people waiting for a date. Speaking of Fuzhou Road, it used to be called Sima Road. Before liberation, it was Yanhua Lane, but now it has become a cultural street. In addition to Shanghai Bookstore, Foreign Language Bookstore and Ancient Books Bookstore, there are also excellent private bookstores such as Popular Bookstore and Jifeng Bookstore (in Raffles City). You must visit those who love books.

There is a story in Shanghai that foreigners visit Nanjing Road and Shanghainese visit Huaihai Road. Yes, Huaihai Road is Joffrey Street in the former French Concession. The landmark of young people here is Parkson Square, and the Cathay Cinema next to it is still the same as it was in the 1930s. The streets are lined with French phoenix trees in the concession era. Luo Songtang must order shrimp cups and clams at the Red House Western Restaurant. Xintiandi transformed from Shanghai Lane is the most expensive commercial land in Shanghai, including the site of the First Congress of the Communist Party of China. Shanghai girls are particularly attached to Huaihai Road. Although I went to Ginza in Tokyo and Fifth Avenue in New York later, I always felt that I was not as close as Huaihai Road, and I lacked the fun of competing, appreciating and watching others. The way to Huaihai Road is to change to subway 1 at People's Square and get off at Shaanxi South Road Station (the exits are Parkson and Guotai). Or get off at Huangpi North Road Station (exit near Xintiandi). Jinjiang Hotel and Garden Hotel on Huaihai Road (formerly the French General Assembly) are both famous protected buildings with Shanghai characteristics, and of course the interior is also decorated with modern five stars. In addition, don't be surprised to see a fairy-tale house, which is Moller Villa in Hengshan Mountain. At first, it was really built according to the fairy tale castle in the dream of the little daughter of Jewish businessman Mahler, and now it is also a hotel to stay in.

Pudong has Xujiahui (Hong Kong and Luomei) and Zheng Da Square (next to the Oriental Pearl), and subway 1 and Line 2 can be easily reached. There are Fuxing Middle Road, Yuyuan Road and Duolun Road. For details, please refer to Chen's works (Slow Boat to China, Never Widening Street, Shanghai Style, etc.). Wang Anyi's Song of Eternal Sorrow is a deep description of Shanghai and Shanghai.

Take a good walk, visit several museums you like and have fun. Tip: Generally, self-built libraries are more expensive and thoughtful than rented ones, so it is suggested to spend limited time on those self-built libraries.

The whole Expo Pavilion is divided into Pudong and Puxi. Pudong is divided into three areas: A, B and C, the most important Expo axis and Expo.

The center, performing arts center and celebration square, as well as all national venues including China Pavilion, are located in these three districts of Pudong. Puxi is divided into two areas, D and E, mainly the Future Pavilion, the Enterprise Pavilion and the Urban Best Practice Zone. As a one-day tourist, the basic activities of the day are in three districts of Pudong.

The purpose of our one-day tour is to spend the least time and visit the most museums, which is why this tour will go first.

Zone B, then Zone A and Zone C, to avoid wasting a lot of time waiting in the China Pavilion in the morning and evening. The pavilions recommended here are all self-built, and the specific pavilions can be chosen independently near the routes we provide according to their own preferences.

Buy a ticket before you go to find out the traffic situation and the opening and closing time of the park (9:00-24:00).

Arrive at 8:30. As a one-day tourist, you should queue up at the gate of the Expo Park early.

The garden opens at nine o'clock. Don't rush in, there is a row of reservation machines at the door. Popular venues must be booked here first, such as the China Pavilion. A ticket can only be reserved once. You need a valid certificate and ticket to make an appointment at the reservation machine.

Theme Pavilion: Walk along the Expo axis (until the end is the celebration square), and you will soon see the theme pavilions on the left, including the City People Pavilion, the City Life Museum and the City Planet Pavilion.

City People's Pavilion: tells the story of city people, in which the Life Sunshine Pavilion is the first disabled pavilion in the history of the World Expo, and volunteers and commentators are all disabled;

City life pavilion: tells the life journey of the city, and the LCD displays of the five pavilions scroll to play real-time information such as flights, trains, stocks and foreign exchange around the world;

City Planet Pavilion: Telling about the ecological problems caused by the over-development of the city. There is a soil under the overpass. If you continue to visit, you will find a large dome cinema on the earth.

New Zealand Pavilion: After seeing the theme pavilion, walk north along Expo Pavilion Road, and you will see the New Zealand Pavilion as soon as you get to Bocheng Road. There will be a warm Maori dance performance to welcome you before you enter the exhibition hall. The biggest attraction here is the amazing New Zealand scenery created by the special effects team in The Lord of the Rings with image technology, which makes people immersive.

Australia Pavilion: Go west outside the New Zealand Pavilion and you will see the Australia Pavilion. In the "Travel" activity area here, there is a fully enclosed glass passage of160m around the exhibition hall to show visitors the history of Australia. There are also a wealth of art troupe performances.

Thailand Pavilion: The Thailand Pavilion is just south from the Australia Pavilion. The rich Thai style makes it easy to find here. There is a mascot called "Artest" in it, and you can take a photo with it as a souvenir.

Other pavilions in Zone B include Malaysia Pavilion, Singapore Pavilion, Cambodia Pavilion, Philippines Pavilion, Brunei Pavilion and Indonesia Pavilion to the south of Bocheng Road, and World Meteorological Pavilion, Pacific Pavilion, United Nations Pavilion, Red Cross and Red Crescent Pavilion and International Information Development Network Pavilion to the north of Bocheng Road.

Lunch: My stomach must be growling after visiting these venues. When you walk along the Expo Pavilion Road to the Expo Avenue, you will find a Chinese food street between the Expo Center and the theme pavilion. There are various specialties from 365,438+0 provinces, municipalities, autonomous regions and municipalities directly under the Central Government in China, as well as eight Chinese cuisines.

Performing arts center: When you are full, you can go to the Expo Cultural Center to watch the performance and have a rest by blowing air conditioning. The Cultural Center is in the northeast of the Expo Center. There are many performances here every day, from the passionate flamenco song and dance in Spain to the large-scale folk song and dance show "Footprints in Africa", which makes people feel like they are in Africa.

China Pavilion: After enough rest, you can queue up at China Pavilion. Even at noon when there are relatively few people, even if an appointment is made, it is inevitable to queue for about 30 minutes. However, due to the unique design of the China Pavilion, you will find that the sun is blocked when queuing, which is called "self-shading". When designing the China Pavilion, we took into account the queuing situation.

49-meter floor: Take the elevator after entering the site, and come to the 49-meter floor first. Surrounded by a circle of tempered glass floor like the Oriental Pearl, at the foot is a waiting square that looks small now, where movies are being shown at the same time. On this floor, there is also a picture of the riverside at Qingming Festival, 100 meters wide, where people can walk around.

4 1 m floor: After watching 49 m, you can go to the 4 1 m floor. It's a long route to visit here by rail tour bus, but it's worth a try and will have a special experience.

Building 33m: Introduce the low-carbon city in China in the future, and see what kind of environment you will live in in the future.

Domestic museums: You can visit them when you have time. All provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities have their own 600 square meters of space. If you are not interested, there is no harm in browsing. There are three pavilions: Taiwan Province Provincial Pavilion, Macau Pavilion and Hong Kong Pavilion. LED dome lanterns, lying on the ceiling watching movies, glass exterior walls and specular reflection design are the biggest features of the three pavilions.

United Arab Emirates Pavilion: Leaving the Hong Kong Pavilion and heading northeast along the International Exhibition Road, an undulating sand dune suddenly appeared in front of you. This is the United Arab Emirates Pavilion. It is said that this pavilion will be demolished after the World Expo and transported back to Abu Dhabi for reconstruction. Someone in the museum leads a virtual dream trip to the United Arab Emirates overlooking the beautiful scenery in the Middle East. Don't forget to take part in the lucky draw here to make your dream come true. The grand prize is a one-week trip to the United Arab Emirates.

Israel Pavilion: Right next to the UAE Pavilion, there are all kinds of high technologies here. It is not unusual to extract diesel oil from plants and put smart shoes on cows to have a look. The most wonderful thing is that you can swallow a photographic capsule, take various photos of internal organs and complete a painless physical examination.

Saudi Pavilion: Located in the north of Israel Pavilion, it is the largest foreign pavilion with a cost of 654.38+300 million yuan. In the Saudi Pavilion, there is the largest IMAX3D cinema in the world, with a screen around 1600 square meters. Show Avatar how shocking this will be.

Japan Pavilion: Coming out of the Saudi Pavilion, to the northeast is the Japan Pavilion, which looks like robotech in comics. The high-tech life inside is the highlight, including a universal camera with high definition and telescopic function and a robot that can play the violin.

Other Asian pavilions in Zone A include: Nepal, Sri Lanka, Pakistan, Turkmenistan, India, Qatar, Lebanon, Iran, North Korea, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Vietnam, South Korea and three Asian joint pavilions.

British Pavilion: Out of the French Pavilion, you can see the dazzling British Pavilion at a glance. Thousands of luminous tentacles swing with the wind, which are used for indoor lighting through optical fiber during the day and illuminate the whole building through the built-in light source at night.

Canada Pavilion: Canada Pavilion is located in the southwest of Area C, walk along Tangzijing Road to Guozhan Road, and walk west to see three independent Canada pavilions. You can ride a bike in front of three-dimensional images, just like traveling in Canada. And the famous Cirque du Soleil. Don't miss it.
