DIY takes macro photos.

Lead: The micro-world is more wonderful than we thought-"How can an enlarged ant be different from what we know on weekdays?" ""There are so many changes in the texture of petals! Macro photography is often amazing! This time, I will share how to use simple tools, that is, you can take fun macro photos at home with an ordinary portable digital camera.

Shooting subject matter

Macro photography has many subjects, among which flowers, insects, water droplets, fruits and so on are the most frequently photographed, because these are easy to find in our lives. Basically, anything with unique texture or complicated structure will have a good effect. But it is difficult to capture the moment when insects are still, and it is most satisfying to shoot colorful flowers!

Equipment or tools needed for DIY macro photos.

1.DSLR/ ordinary portable digital camera, the lens should have a zoom function of 3 times or more.

2. tripod/octopus tripod to stabilize the camera.

3. A desk lamp.

4. The magnifying glass bought at the stationery store.

The adhesive tape is used to fix the main body.

6. White paper used as background or scattered light.

Take taking pictures of flowers as an example, and set up an ultra-simple personal studio as shown below. After setting up the equipment, you can choose to turn off the ambient light and only let the desk lamp illuminate, so you don't have to worry about other things in the background being photographed and affecting the composition.

The step of take macro photos with a magnifying glass

1. Fix the camera on the tripod. Because you can use the zoom function of the camera, the distance between the camera and the subject does not need to be very close, just a foot or two away.

2. Adjust the camera zoom to about 4 times and macro shooting mode (if the camera has this function), and this magnification can already get a good magnification. Other settings, if you are afraid of trouble, can be set to full automatic. If you use a Prosumer camera, it is recommended to use manual shooting, and fully control the aperture shutter and ISO.

3. number three. The ISO value should be set below 400 as far as possible, so as to avoid noise affecting the image quality. Because of the tripod, the shutter can be a little slower. As long as the subject is still, don't shake your hand with a magnifying glass too much. A shutter of 1/30 seconds is enough. For a portable digital camera, the aperture value of F4.5 can obtain a suitable depth of field.

4. Half-press the shutter to focus on the flowers, and you will find it difficult to focus correctly. Put a magnifying glass between the subject and the camera, and the subject will be magnified. Slowly move the magnifying glass back and forth until you find a clear focus, and then press the shutter.

Matters needing attention

Because of the long focal length and magnification effect, slight vibration will also blur the photo, so it is recommended to use a tripod or slow down the shutter to get better exposure.

Remember to clean the magnifying glass.

The magnifying glass may reflect the light from the desk lamp, so just avoid the light and aim at the magnifying glass.

In fact, you can shoot flowers in reverse light or along light. You can try different shooting angles and light source directions.

If you think the light of the desk lamp is too hard or too strong, put an ordinary A4 white paper in front of the lamp to slightly weaken the soft light.

Of course, the above photography method is just a ticket-playing nature, and the picture quality may be slightly inferior, but it is an interesting experience for beginners.
