Why did Ukraine become like this?

Ukraine was disintegrated by the Soviet Union.

The Soviet Union split into 15 countries: Lithuania, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Estonia, Tajikistan, Latvia, Armenia, Ukraine, Turkmenistan, Belarus, Russian Federation, Moldova and Kazakhstan.

Ukraine has a beautiful natural environment and a good human landscape. Take Kiev, the capital of Ukraine, as an example. It has both the classical beauty of ancient European architecture and the modern urban beauty, with trees and beautiful scenery. Known as the "granary of Europe", the grain export volume ranks third in the world and is also one of the important markets in the world. Tourism is also a relatively developed industry in this country, and there are also many national cultural relics protection units, historical and cultural sites, nature reserves and national nature parks.

The center of Ukraine is the old city, and the streets are basically in the old pattern, so most historical buildings are concentrated, such as the famous Sophia Cathedral, Parliament Building, Peja Cesca Monastery and so on. On the basis of ancient buildings, it permeates the atmosphere of modern cities. There are many boulevards on the street, as well as many gardens and lawns. There are modern buildings among green trees and flowers, and there are several forest parks outside the city, which makes Kiev win the reputation of "garden city".
