At present, mobile phone batteries are basically 178 mA. Why is the camera battery still a little bit?

My understanding of the problem of small battery capacity of digital cameras is as follows:

1. First of all, the battery capacity of most home digital cameras is small because of portability, appearance and cost, not because of low power consumption. Otherwise, it is difficult to explain why digital SLR cameras consume less power and have larger battery capacity than ordinary portable and card cameras.

Digital cameras have complex internal circuits and many components. Relatively high power consumption, such as CCD image sensor (CMOS type is small), lens zoom drive motor, CPU, digital-to-analog conversion circuit, display screen and backlight circuit, flash circuit, etc. And the average power consumption is much higher than that of mobile phones. Although most cameras are in intermittent working state, frequent switching on and off itself consumes more power. 2. A digital camera is a device integrating mechatronics and optics. Influenced by the optical components (lens), the structure and position of the driving (zoom, focus) motor, the position restrictions of various buttons and operating handles, the flash (including the large and high-voltage resistant flash storage capacitor) and the traditional modeling design of the camera, there is basically no relatively concentrated space inside, even the circuit board should be divided into several small pieces or flexible printed circuit boards, and only the handle (that is, the right-hand grip of the camera body) has a certain independent space to place the battery. The battery capacity of card and pocket cameras is relatively small.

3. The voltage of mobile phone battery is 3.7V, while the lithium battery used in digital camera is mostly 7.4V (mainly determined by the working voltage requirements of driving mechanism and some circuits). Mobile phone batteries with the same capacity are only half the size of digital camera batteries. For example, they all have the same capacity of 1000mAh, and mobile phone batteries need 1 3.7V/1000mAh lithium batteries, while digital cameras need two lithium batteries with the same capacity connected in series to form 7.4V/1000mAh, which will double the volume.

With the progress of science and technology and the development of energy technology, the battery types of various mobile and portable electrical equipment are constantly improving. At first, digital cameras used AA dry batteries or alkaline batteries. Later, they used nickel-chromium rechargeable batteries and nickel-hydrogen rechargeable batteries. Now, most of them use lithium-ion rechargeable batteries. The weight is getting lighter, the volume is getting smaller and smaller, and the capacity is getting bigger and bigger. It is believed that digital cameras in the future will become more and more powerful and portable, and new batteries with lighter, smaller and longer battery life will also be used.
