In Buddhist monasteries, the Hall of Ursa Major is the main hall, and some of them are also called the Hall of Ursa Major. Daxiong Hall is the core building of the whole temple, and it is also the place where monks practice in the morning and evening. Our teacher Sakyamuni's Buddha statue is enshrined in the Hall of the Great Hero. Daxiong is the name of Buddha. Big means everything; Hero means catching the devil. Because Sakyamuni Buddha is full of wisdom and can make the world a hero, his disciples all respect him as a hero. The treasure in the hall refers to the three treasures of Buddhism and Taoism.

Siddhartha Gautama in the Hall of the Great Hero has three main modeling postures: the first one is sitting cross-legged with his left hand across his left foot, which means meditation; The right hand hangs straight, which means "touching the ground", meaning that before Sakyamuni became a monk, he sacrificed everything for all beings in his previous life. Only the earth can prove this, because all these things are done on the earth. The statue in this position is called Cheng Daoxiang. The second type is sitting knot, in which the left hand is placed horizontally on the left foot and the index finger of the right hand is ring-shaped, which is called "declaration seal", which is a gesture of "declaration phase" and indicates the Buddha's declaration. There is also a standing Buddha with a drooping left hand and an upward bending right hand. This is called "Castanopsis kawakamii Buddha statue". According to legend, when the Buddha was alive, the Indian Udayana was made of Castanopsis kawakamii according to the Buddha's face and figure. Hand drooping is called "printing with wishes", which means that all beings can wish; The name of the extension is "Shi Wu Wei Yin", which means that it can eliminate the suffering of all beings. Later, it was also called "Castanopsis kawakami Buddha statue" to imitate this image. Generally, next to Siddhartha Gautama in the Hall of Mahatma, there are two statues of monks, one old and one middle-aged, who are two disciples of the Buddha. The elderly are called "Ye Jia Venerable" and the middle-aged are called "Ananda Venerable". After the Buddha's nirvana, the venerable Ye Jia followed his disciples, who later called him the second ancestor. This group of statues in Daxiong Hall is generally called "one Buddha and two disciples". Some Buddha statues in Mahayana Hall are not one but three. According to Mahayana doctrine, there are three different forms of Sakyamuni Buddha. One of them is "Dharma Buddha", named "Pilu Jinnafo". This cloud is everywhere, indicating that Buddhism is the Buddha body; On the left, there is a statue of "the Buddha of Lu Shena". This cloud shines brightly, indicating that the wisdom of proving the truth of Buddhism and enjoying Buddhism is the Buddha body; On the right is the Buddha, named "Sakyamuni Buddha". This cloud can be benevolent and silent, which means that all kinds of sentient beings will be educated along with the fate. Buddha III The three buddhas in some halls are not three-body buddhas, but buddhas representing different worlds in China, East and West. In the middle is the Buddha of Sakyamuni in our world; On the left is Liuli Guangfo, a pharmacist from the pure Liuli world in the East, who holds a bowl in his left hand and a pill in his right. On the right is Amitabha in the western paradise, sitting cross-legged, with his hands folded on his feet and a lotus platform in his palm, which means to attract all beings. Together, these three buddhas are called "Heng III Buddha". There are two sitting statues of bodhisattvas next to Buddha III, and Manjusri Bodhisattva and Samantabhadra Bodhisattva are next to Buddha Sakyamuni. Next to the pharmacist Buddha are the Sunlight Bodhisattva and the Moonlight Bodhisattva; Next to Amitabha is Guanyin Bodhisattva and Guanyin Bodhisattva. These six Bodhisattvas are the first disciples of these three Buddhas (see Huayan Sutra, Pharmacist's Original Wishing Sutra, and Guan Infinite Life Sutra). There are three buddhas who regard the past, the future and the present as three generations, which are called "Vertical Buddha III". Right in the middle is the modern Buddha, namely Sakyamuni Buddha; To the east is the past Kayafo; To the west is the future Maitreya Buddha. However, "horizontal three buddhas" are common in the main hall, and "vertical three buddhas" are rare. Some halls have only one Pilufo. Pilufo is one of the three-body buddhas. The lotus in Lake Biwa is the lotus in Chiba. There is a small Buddha on each lotus petal, which is the Buddha of Sakyamuni. This is based on the Sanskrit: "I am sitting on the lotus platform in Lushena today, spending a thousand flowers every week to reproduce a thousand Sakyamuni, spending 10 billion countries, one Sakyamuni in one country, each sitting on a bodhi tree and becoming a Buddha at one time." This lotus flower petal represents three thousand worlds, and the whole lotus flower represents the world of China and Tibet. In the temple of Pure Land Sect, the statue of Amitabha is often enshrined in the main hall. Receiving Buddha is an Amitabha Buddha, which is used to receive all beings. His right hand hung down, making a wishing seal, his left hand as a chest, and a golden lotus platform in his palm. Usually, Sakyamuni Buddha is enshrined in the center of the Ursa Mahayana Hall. On the left of the Buddha is the venerable Ye Jia, and on the right is the venerable Ananda, two disciples of the Buddha when he was alive. There are also some halls dedicated to Sakyamuni Buddha in the center, and the past Buddha-Kaya Buddha and the future Buddha-Maitreya Buddha are also dedicated to the left. Represents the past, present and future three buddhas. If you don't know much about the Buddha statue in Ursa Hall when you visit the temple, you'd better ask the monks in the temple. Usually monks are willing to explain to others, so that we can understand Buddhism better. Under normal circumstances, don't take photos in the Ursa major without permission.
