Why do you have to take portraits with a big aperture? Why not use a smaller aperture?

Two reasons:

1. A lens with a small aperture will be photographed by natural light when the indoor light is weak, so we have to use a high ISO, which will aggravate the noise and make the portrait skin feel poor. If you use a flash, the picture is stiff and unnatural.

Large aperture lens can shoot soft and delicate portraits in natural light.

2. Portrait photos often want to blur the background, reduce background interference, highlight people and make the picture more feminine, which requires a large aperture to achieve.

Small aperture can really take good photos, but it requires high light and background and has many restrictions.
