Its upstream is connected with Wudongde cascade hydropower station, and its downstream tail water is connected with Xiluodu cascade hydropower station. It is the second stage of the four-stage development of the lower reaches of Jinsha River (Yalong River estuary-Yibin), about 22 kilometers away from Ningnan County.
