China Films in War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression Period

In the Kuomintang-controlled areas, from 65438 to 0938, Zhou Enlai participated in the leadership work of the Political Department of the Military Commission on behalf of China, which directly promoted the development of anti-Japanese war films. Under the leadership of the Third Hall of the Political Department, China Film Studio, with Yang Hansheng as the chairman of the director committee, quickly devoted itself to the production of anti-Japanese war films. In Wuhan and Chongqing, news documentaries such as Defending Our Land, eight hundred heroes, Victory March, young chinese, Traffic Storm, Returning Home, Song of the Police Soul and Long Live the Nation have been filmed successively. 1935 The Central Film Studio, which was established in Taiyuan and directly led by the Kuomintang and Northwest Film Company, also filmed feature films and news documentaries to promote anti-Japanese.

1937 By the end of June, more than 50 film companies, including Nanyang and Daguan, had been established in Hong Kong. With the outbreak of War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression, Hong Kong patriotic filmmakers made films about War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression.

In the Japanese-occupied area, Japanese imperialism established "Manchuria Huaying Co., Ltd." (hereinafter referred to as "Manchuria Huaying") in Changchun on August 26th, 2004. Later, North China Film Co., Ltd. was established in Beiping (now Beijing). China Film Co., Ltd. 65438-0939 was established in Shanghai. After the outbreak of the Pacific War, the Japanese puppet government merged several film companies, including Xinhua, to form China United Film Co., Ltd. (referred to as Zhonglian). A screening team was also set up to show films in the front lines of the Shaanxi-Gansu-Ningxia border region and the Shanxi-Suiyuan border region. Huaibei Base of the New Fourth Army purchased a 16mm camera on 1942, filmed the film material about the military life of the New Fourth Army, and edited and completed the long documentary "Military Life of the New Fourth Army" on 1946.
