Introduction to Fan Jing’s best travel time

Fan Jing is a very popular tourist attraction in Guizhou. Its high-quality air environment and sacred atmosphere can give people a very comfortable experience when going to Fanjing. There is a magical feeling of being purified standing on top of this mountain. So when is the best time to go to Fanjing? What are the popular attractions in Fanjing?

Best time to travel

Spring (March-May), April-May, azaleas bloom all over the mountain. This is Fan Jing's most beautiful season.

In summer (June-August), the waterfall is curtained, the deep pool is like a mirror, and deciduous trees and pine trees block the sunlight on the peaks above 1,600 meters above sea level. You can go rafting at the waterfalls of Heiwan River and Taiping River. The precipitation season is concentrated from May to August, and there are often short thunderstorms. If you travel at this time, you should bring an umbrella and thick clothes.

Autumn (September-November) seems to have entered a colorful world. As the altitude decreases, various colors such as red, yellow, purple, and green gradually appear. Around the 15th day of the eighth month of the lunar calendar, the weather is usually sunny, so you can mainly watch the sunrise and sunset and admire the moon.

In winter (December to February), silver snakes dance in the mountains, and the crystal-clear snow scenery sets off Fan Jingshan into a simple landscape painting, which is really beautiful.

New Golden Summit

The New Golden Summit is 2,336 meters above sea level and has a vertical height difference of 100 meters. It is the most dangerous of the three Golden Summits. It is often surrounded by red clouds in the morning, so it is also called Hongyun Golden Peak, which is homophonic to "Auspicious Golden Peak", which means good luck and good luck. The upper part of Dingxin is divided into two isolated peaks by Jindaoxia. The Sakyamuni Hall was built on the south side of the temple in 1979 and is dedicated to Sakyamuni Buddha. To the north is the Maitreya Buddha Hall, dedicated to Maitreya Buddha. They are connected by a sky bridge in the middle and look like a flying dragon. Viewed from different angles, the red gold peak resembles Buddha's fingering meditation and is a totem of life, so it is also called "the highest peak in the world".

Lao Jinding

Lao Jinding is 2493 meters above sea level and is the second highest peak in Fan Jing. Images of Maitreya Buddha, also known as "Moon Mirror Mountain", often appear on stone walls under moonlight. There is a burning lamp hall on the top of Lao Jinding, which is dedicated to the ancient burning lamp Buddha. The burning ancient Buddha is one of the past life Buddhas. On the day of his birth, the Buddha's four sides were bright, and the sun, moon, and fire beads were useless. Therefore, it is also called Dingguang Tathagata, General Light Tathagata, and Light Tathagata.

Mushroom Stone

Mushroom Stone, as the name suggests, is about 10 meters high, small at the top and large at the bottom, shaped like a mushroom. The true meaning of Buddhism's "normal mind" has stood for 1 billion years. Many painters and photographers have used this theme to create various artistic masterpieces. Today, mushroom stone, as Fan Jing’s iconic representative image, has gone global and is well known to the world.

Chengen Temple

Chengen Temple, located between the old and new golden domes, is the main building of the Mount Fanjing temple complex and one of the four royal temples on Mount Fanjing. Chengen Temple was built during the Wanli period of the Ming Dynasty, but was later destroyed by war, leaving only ruins. In 1988, talented people were recruited to rebuild Buddhism. According to the restoration status of ancient ruins in various places, it was merged with the original Zhenguo Temple (today's Wang Temple) to form the current Chengen Temple.

Mianxuling

The passenger station on Fanjing Mountain in the west, the starting point of the western route hiking, is 2,000 meters above sea level. Directly in front are New Golden Summit, Old Golden Summit and Phoenix Mountain. Here, you can see the 10,000-meter-long Sleeping Buddha on Fanjing Mountain, also known as the Buddha among Buddhas. There are three sitting Buddhas with two heads, which means "five blessings come to your door". It is 10,000 meters long and is the tallest in the world. It looks like a big-bellied Maitreya Buddha. For thousands of years, people in this area have called Fan Jing the "Big Buddha". The mountain is the Buddha and the Buddha is the mountain.
