How to shoot flowers
1, constitute
The picture should be clean and bright, try to abandon flowers and branches irrelevant to the theme, and concentrate on highlighting the main body. The focus of the subject should be slightly away from the center of the picture, so that the picture is stable and not rigid. Preserving the background selectively can show the ecological environment. Horizontal or vertical composition depends on your subject matter. Horizontal composition is suitable for broad expression, while vertical composition is suitable for deep expression. If you are not sure at the moment, take a picture of each.
2. Choose a distant view, a middle view and a close view.
The distant view composition should take the distant mountains and blue sky, and the flower fields should account for about 2/3 of the picture. Mid shot is to let the flowers in the flower field occupy the whole picture. In order to avoid the dull and monotonous picture, it can be collected in rivers, trails and other places. Close-up is a close-up of flowers, which requires beautiful flowers, no scars and bright colors.
3, the use of light
Shooting along the light, the light is uniform, the color is bright, and the image is clear, but there is no contrast and the picture is dull. Backlight shooting can make an unremarkable picture have a dramatic effect, and the light passes through petals and leaves to make it transparent, so that the flowers can be re-outlined and have a three-dimensional effect. Side backlight, like backlight, gives flowers a three-dimensional sense, and is the most commonly used light in flower shooting, which is used to express the depth of the picture. Side light can cast a shadow on the flowers, forming a three-dimensional sense. And due to the color temperature, the light in the morning and evening appears yellow or blue. You can choose the lighting according to your own needs.
4. Choice of weather
When shooting in sunny days, the light is relatively large and bright. It is best to use backlight or side backlight, and if necessary, you can use a reflector to fill the light. In the weather with thin clouds, the light is directional, the light ratio is not large, and it is softer, which shows the details well and can take gentle and emotional photos. When shooting in rainy days, the colors are very saturated, and the flowers are soaked by rain, which makes the flowers more attractive and often leads to ideal photos.
5. Focus selection and depth of field control
When shooting close-ups of flowers, it is best to focus on the striking stamens. Make it the center of interest of the picture, otherwise the picture will appear soulless. In the close-up of flowers, the control of depth of field is very important. The aperture is too large, the focus is not clear, the aperture is too small, the picture is too dark, and the depth of field is too large. So you'd better preview the depth of field before shooting. Whether the foreground is blurred or the background is blurred is also the key to the success of the work. Fuzzy foreground can increase the atmosphere rendering and make the picture full of emotional appeal. Fuzzy background can highlight the main body and make the background clean.
6. Pay attention to exposure compensation
Exposure compensation is a very important link. The exposure of a successful work must be accurate, otherwise it is likely to be off-color or foggy, especially the exposure latitude of the reverse film is very small, only within 0.5. It is better to have a gray board to correct photometry. If not, the reflectivity of human skin is close to 20%, so you can beat your opponent first. Generally, light flowers or bright backgrounds should be exposed by 1 to the second level, while dark flowers or dark backgrounds should be exposed by 1 to the second level or so. For backlight or backlight measurement, it is best to use spot metering.
7, should pay attention to the problem
It is also important to pay attention to the background when shooting. There should be no colors or bright spots in the background that will shift the center of interest. Sometimes a good floral work is wasted because of the improper choice of background. Pay attention to the light ratio, film and human eyes have great differences in sensitivity to light. The proportion of shooting time should not be too large, otherwise the dark parts will be lost, the picture will be dry and lack of layering. When shooting outdoors, sometimes there is wind, which makes the picture blurred. You might as well take cardboard or something to keep out the wind until it stops. If you are interested in trying an alternative style, you can use a slow shot, but the success rate is low and it is not suitable for control.
No matter how boastful you are, it is better to clap your hands. In the spring of March and the Spring Festival, peach blossoms and cherry blossoms are in full bloom. In the summer of June, the pool is full of lotus flowers. In autumn and September, chrysanthemums are proudly in full bloom, and there are cold plums in winter. It's so cool to shoot all year round. The rest is up to you. Pick up the camera.
