How does a SLR shoot a runner?

0 1

The characteristics of moving photos: bright, backlit, overexposed photos, and visible movement give photos a sense of speed. The following are the necessary shooting techniques for five-point sports photos.

02

(1) In sports photography, we usually try to lock the action, which means that the shutter speed should reach11ooo seconds or faster. However, sometimes (some sports, such as cycling or motorcycle sports) we want to have a sense of movement and speed, so that athletes (cars) can show the state of movement (instead of stopping somewhere and waiting for the game to start). In order to achieve this effect, shake the main body at a slow shutter speed (as shown in the figure), so that most of the bicycle is in focus and the wheels and background show action.

03

(2) To take this kind of photos, we should use the shutter priority mode (S), set the shutter speed to1/60s (far lower than11000s required for locking action), and then turn on the continuous shooting mode (Canon or Sony camera) or the continuous high-speed mode (Nikon camera), so that when the shutter button is pressed,

(3) When the athletes approach, aim at them to lock the focus (I usually aim the focus center at their helmets), then follow them, shoot in continuous shooting mode, and take a series of photos as they pass by. Press and hold the shutter button until they are really far away from the shooting position.

05

(4) Many photos will be blurred, which is normal, but in this series of photos, you can usually find the one that looks ideal (this is the only photo you need).

(5) Finally, to get this popular and overexposed effect, take off the hood from the camera, put the athlete between you and the sun, and then shoot, and lens halo will appear.
