What are the industrial categories?

There are three categories of industrial classification: primary industry, secondary industry and tertiary industry. The usual three major industries are the classification methods used by the United Nations: the first industry includes agriculture, forestry, animal husbandry and fishery; The secondary industry includes manufacturing, mining, construction and public works, hydropower, oil and gas, and pharmaceutical manufacturing; The tertiary industry includes non-material production departments such as commerce, finance, transportation, communication, education and service industry.

The primary industry mainly refers to industries that produce food raw materials and other biological raw materials, including planting, forestry, animal husbandry, aquaculture and other industries that directly target natural products.

The secondary industry mainly refers to the processing manufacturing industry or handicraft industry, which uses the basic materials provided by nature and the primary industry for processing.

The tertiary industry refers to other industries other than the primary and secondary industries, with a wide range, mainly including intangible production departments such as transportation, communication, commerce, catering, finance, education and public services.
