Six ways to promote the development of children's visual perception are recommended to be collected.
Visual perception functions include visual focusing, visual tracking, color discrimination, contour mastery, vision expansion, plane and stereo transformation, image creation, hierarchical discrimination, visual memory and many other aspects.
Therefore, if the child writes out of line, reads slowly, and writes the numbers backwards, etc. Don't rush to criticize children, these are "visual obstacles"! Moreover, children with visual impairment generally have the following manifestations-
1, often bumping into others or furniture;
2, almost two years old, still can't recognize myself in the photo;
3, more than two years old still can't tell different colors;
4. Going up and down the stairs, you will hesitate and be afraid when crossing the ditch;
5. When I was more than two years old, I couldn't recognize the familiar adults from the photos;
6. It is still difficult to pair simple geometric building blocks around two years old;
7, nearly three years old still can't tell the size of the object;
8. It is difficult to distinguish the similarities and differences of shapes;
9. It is not easy to see the specific patterns doped in the background;
10, don't like to play puzzles;
1 1, easy to get lost;
12, it is difficult to keep up with the plane in the sky;
13, short visual memory;
14, it is difficult to identify numbers and phonetic symbols;
15, words are often missed when reading texts or copying homework;
16, numbers, words and sentences are often written backwards.
It can be directly seen from the above performance that visual perception disorder will affect children's study and daily life.
So, how to effectively avoid or improve children's visual perception defects? Today, Lao Yue focuses on the six main functions of visual perception development-visual breadth, visual focus, visual tracking, visual memory, visual resolution and visual imagination.
Visual breadth refers to the range that the eyes can look straight ahead, which can also be said to be the breadth of receiving information. Children with large visual span, reading a book at a glance, are of course more efficient than children with small visual span, and children who need to read word by word are much higher.
Therefore, training visual breadth can effectively improve children's reading efficiency. The simplest and most effective training method is Schulte table.
Shulte table display >
Parents can prepare an A4 piece of paper, draw 25 small squares of 1cm* 1cm on it, and fill in the numbers of 1-25 at will. Then, let the child's eyes be 30-35cm away from the table, point out the number positions with his fingers in turn, and read aloud at the same time.
Practice at least once a day, and the numbers are arranged differently every time. At the same time, parents should do a good job of timing and record the time when their children count 25. After training for a period of time, children's visual breadth and attention will be greatly improved.
When we look at objects at different distances, in order to ensure that the objects can be clearly imaged on the retina, we must use our adjustment function to adjust the curvature of the lens according to the distance of the objects, that is, the visual focusing ability.
Good visual focusing ability should have the following four elements:
1, sharpness, when something appears in front of you, you can immediately notice it;
2, insist, you can continue to concentrate when you see this thing, and you will not be distracted to see other things soon;
3, selectivity, if the child has more than one thing in front of him, he can selectively focus on one thing and ignore other irrelevant things;
4, distribution coordination, when the child must pay attention to more than two things at the same time, he can make appropriate distribution and application.
Visual focus has a far-reaching influence on children's learning ability such as reading, writing and calculation. Therefore, parents are advised to pay more attention to their children's exercise in this area.
For example, you can give your child a mirror, let him look at his own eyes in the mirror, and you can also let him do some small games that need to be watched, such as coloring and drawing.
Visual tracking ability refers to the ability to coordinate eye movements, follow and track objects. If the child's visual tracking ability is poor, then he can't always follow the knowledge points pointed out on the teacher's blackboard and can't effectively observe the teacher's behavior. In this way, it will affect the learning efficiency and effect.
The method of training children's visual tracking is also very simple. A flashlight or a ball is enough.
Parents can aim the flashlight at the wall in a dark room and move it up, down, left and right, so that children can track the lights while keeping their heads still.
Secondly, take out the ball and play a catch game with the child, and the child's eyes will involuntarily follow the moving direction of the ball, thus achieving the training effect.
Visual memory is the ability to sort out what you see, compare it with previous experience and store it in your brain to form a memory.
Simply put, visual memory determines how much knowledge a child can absorb. So, how to train this ability? The following three tricks are enough!
1, write a string of numbers and let the children read them, then cover them and let the children say. The number of numbers can be less at first, and then gradually increase with the continuous improvement of children's ability;
2. Choose one of several pictures, let the children look at it for a few seconds, and then mix this picture with other pictures to let the children find the one just now;
3, teach children to learn origami, so that children can imitate the continuous operation of your hands while remembering. At the beginning, you can wait for your child, stop slowly, and let your child remember it quickly.
Children can distinguish the similarities and differences between objects and distinguish one object from another because they have visual discrimination. But if children's visual discrimination is poor, it may be difficult to distinguish similar things, such as similar people they meet after school.
To strengthen children's visual discrimination, parents can try the following two methods:
1, write a string of letters "b" with several "p" in the middle, and let the children circle the "p" in the shortest time, or count a * * *, how many "b" or "p" there are;
2. Prepare several balls of different colors, tell the child which color to catch in advance, and then roll all the balls to the child at the same time, so that he can catch the ball accurately as required.
6. Visual imagination
When people imagine, the brain is like an "eye", which can "see" the movement, rotation and change of visual imagination and analyze it. The stronger the child's visual imagination, the sharper the eyes in the brain, and the clearer the visual imagination and its movement in the brain.
The most direct embodiment is that when they draw, the teacher simply describes a scene, and they can enrich and draw this scene through imagination. Therefore, cultivating children's good visual imagination ability from an early age is very helpful for children's future development of understanding, thinking and analysis.
The training method is to let children see more, parents pay less attention, guide children to observe the world around them, and take them out of the house to see the outside world. In short, it is to let children get rich visual information and let them have materials to learn when they imagine.
Parents should pay little attention, that is, when children use their imagination to create, they should not interfere too much, let alone laugh at or correct them. Only in this way can children imagine more interesting and beautiful things.
-The end-
Lao Yue stresses sensory integration, pays deep attention to 0- 10 children with sensory integration disorder, devotes himself to popularizing sensory integration knowledge, guiding sensory integration training and popularizing sensory integration courses, and is the promoter of sensory integration industry standardization in China.
