Feelings of Yangjiaodao International Hotel

The lobby floor of Yangjiao Island Hotel is covered with marble and hung with chandeliers, which is a bit imposing. There are eight elevators beside the lobby, two of which are landscape elevators, from which you can see the scenery outside through the glass. Out of the elevator, the corridor is quite spacious. Stepping into the guest room, I saw a color TV, a refrigerator, a sofa and a bathtub. There are three special satisfaction:

First, it was first heard that there was no boiled water in the North Korean hotel, and passengers could only drink cold water from the tap. This is the living habit of Koreans. Because of this, this time I went to North China, like many Korean tourists, I brought many bottles of mineral water from China. Unexpectedly, in order to adapt to the living habits of China tourists, North Korea has also made improvements, putting a hot water bottle in the guest room, and the waiter fills the bottle with boiling water every day. So you can make tea every day in North Korea.

Second, because they are not allowed to go out at night, they can only stay in the guest room and watch TV. Friends who have heard of North Korea say that there are only two or three TV channels in North Korea, which is monotonous, let alone Korean. Now, North Korea has opened a satellite TV channel in a hotel specially prepared for foreign guests, so that I can watch not only China's CCTV channel, but also British BBC, Japanese NHK, Russian TV and China's Hong Kong Phoenix TV. I noticed that there is no Korean channel. This is because Korean TV is exactly the same as Korean, and even the hotel waiter who cleans the room can understand it, which is bound to cause a lot of "trouble". North Koreans can only watch two or three channels on North Korean national television.

Third, the sheets, sanitary ware and bathtub are clean. Koreans love cleanliness, so their daily cleaning work is very serious. The window of the room faces the wide Datong River. There are no yachts, no ships, no whistle and no roar of motors on the river. Looking from the window, the downtown area of Pyongyang has a panoramic view. Yangjiao Island Hotel is adjacent to North Korea Hotel in the west, Kim Il Sung Square and the main thought tower in the north, surrounded by water on three sides, with excellent scenery. When night falls, the lights in the city are dim because of the lack of electricity. In addition to the main thought tower that stands tall on the Datong River, some landscape lights are dotted, and even street lamps are rare. Every family goes to bed early. At night, the room is very quiet, and you can hear the sound of an embroidery needle falling.

Although North Korea fully supplied electricity to the super hotel, I still encountered the water cut of Yangjiao Island Hotel. It was one night, after a hard day outside, I returned to Yangjiao Island Hotel and wanted to take a bath. The faucet is hissing, but it won't flow out. Call the front desk and get the answer that there is not enough electricity to supply water in time. Please be patient. I kept the tap on, and it took about an hour before the sound of running water came from the bathroom.

The voltage in North Korea is 220 volts, which is the same as that in China, but there is no information about the shape of the electric socket. You can make international calls from the fixed telephone in the hotel, and dial "600086" before calling China. Therefore, international long-distance calls are expensive, and 1 minute is as much as that of 20 yuan. The refrigerator in the guest room is very big, which is bigger than that in the general five-star guest room. Even if North Korea's electricity is tight, it will still cool down for 24 hours. When I opened the refrigerator, it was empty. Usually, the refrigerators of five-star rooms in other countries are always full of food and drinks for guests to take and then check out. North Korea, which is short of materials, has no food and drink to supply. This refrigerator exists in name only, but it wastes a lot of electricity.

From the revolving restaurant, you can also see two other islands on the Datong River: in the north of Yangjiao Island, there is Lingluo Island, which is twice as big as Yangjiao Island; In the south of Yangjiao Island, there is an ancient island, which is the largest of the three small islands.

Later, it was found that the 46th floor, which was lower than the revolving restaurant, was more suitable for aerial photography. The revolving restaurant is surrounded by glass windows, and shooting through the glass windows will inevitably affect the quality of photography. There is a huge terrace on the 46th floor, which is an ideal photography platform. Only in Pyongyang, people always go out early and return late, either in the morning fog or in the dusk, which affects the clarity of the picture.

When I first entered Yangjiao Island Hotel, I always used to press "1" when I went downstairs by elevator. In fact, "1" is the basement and "2" is the lobby. Because I pressed "1", I entered the basement by mistake, where I saw signs in Chinese, English and Korean: "Macau Restaurant", "Golden Spring Island Sauna" and "Egyptian Palace Karaoke".

I also saw a room with a closed door, and the five characters "Pyongyang Casino" were hung on the wall. I took a picture with my camera. When the flash flashed, the security guard immediately ran over and shouted "No taking pictures" and pushed open the closed door, which was brightly lit and beautifully decorated. In a room opposite us, about 50 square meters, there are rows of slot machines. Enter a room inside, the house is very big, about 300-400 square meters. There are many green rectangular tables in Zhang Mo. Many people are sitting around a rectangular table, busy gambling.

This casino was opened at Yangjiao Island Hotel with the investment of Macao boss. North Koreans are not allowed to enter casinos. More than 95% of the people who come here to gamble are from China. Judging from the opening of casinos, the scale of Vietnamese casinos is larger than that of northern China, and the target is also Korean tourists.
