Original Art

Curved Silk Painting

Curved Silk Painting is a fiber art, originally created by Mr. Cui Bingxian. The most significant feature of Curved Silk Painting is the mixing effect of light and color. . In general, easel painting pigments (such as oil paintings, watercolors, gouache, etc.) are blended together in different degrees of purity, and the colors become darker as they are blended. However, the tone of curved silk painting is composed of countless primary color curved silks crisscrossing each other. The primary colors and tones It is both independent and coordinated, showing a mixed effect of light and color - the brighter the color, the brighter it becomes.

Wind oil painting

The main tool in traditional painting - the brush has been placed in a secondary position, while the hair dryer, a hairdressing and beauty tool, is making waves here. Dilute oil paint and turpentine in a ratio of 10:1 and pour it onto the canvas (acrylic paint can also be used), blow it up, down, left and right with two hair dryers, and then modify it with a scraper and a brush according to the texture of the various paints mixed and penetrated by the wind. A semi-natural work was born, which is called "Wind Oil Painting".

Volcanic stone (pumice) carvings

In 1987, we went to the foot of Changbai Mountain to collect a large number of volcanic stones (pumice) with different shapes and textures for use in art creation. The close-up part is pumice, the natural texture of the stone is unmodified, and the distant part is gypsum sculpture. This approach is unprecedented. Cui Bingxian always has endless fun exploring various materials and expression methods.

The life of the character

The boy created comic strips

When he was 17 years old, he came up with the idea of ????creating a comic book (comic book) for his little person. The book is called "The Revenge of the Little Deer". Use ballpoint pens to create pictures one after another, and connect them together to form a little book. Later, the ballpoint pen drawing was changed to watercolor painting, and then to pen drawing, and was revised many times. "Little Deer's Revenge" was published by Yanbian People's Publishing House in 1982.

Art Education

Sculpture Sketching Techniques

The main purpose of sketching training is to enable students to transition from the usual two-dimensional way of thinking to three-dimensional and spatial thinking. Mr. Cui Bingxian's original sculpture sketch training system guides students to conduct vertical and horizontal block-face turning analysis of objects, and summarize, exaggerate and reorganize complex object shapes. Sketch training is essentially a difficult way of thinking training. It is clearly a drawing operation on a flat surface, but the most effective method is virtual carving and shaping. The pencil in your hand seems to be a carving knife. The sectioning process of sculpture sketch is almost the same as the three-dimensional software modeling process. Sculpture sketch is the most effective basic training system that combines traditional art and digital art. Sculpture sketch points out a new direction for modern sketch teaching.

Situational Still Life Sketching Techniques

Generally, the content of still life sketches is static objects; Situational still life sketches, the blend of movement, stillness, and situations - geography, biology, objects, reality and virtuality, will all become A paradise for imagination. Drawing still life in this way can not only train the basic skills of sketching, but also cultivate the ability of creative image thinking and realm creation.

Mr. Cui Bingxian's original situational still life sketching technique can hone basic skills and cultivate creativity, killing two birds with one stone!
