How to shoot clouds

Lead: In landscape photography, we often shoot some special elements in the natural environment to add points to the image, among which the use of cloud is the most popular and it is easy to achieve immediate results. But in the process, we still need to master some skills and methods in order to obtain satisfactory image works. So how do you shoot clouds? Let's learn together:

Observe it and make good use of it.

Clouds are very diverse. When using white clouds to set off the scenery, we should also pay attention to whether the image of white clouds matches the scenery. For example, if there are obvious horizontal stripes, don't use horizontal stripes as a foil, otherwise it will make the picture produce too many horizontal stripes, which will make the picture dull and the lines unchanged. For example, taking white clouds of the same size as the main body of the scene will also cause the separation of the guest and the host.

Therefore, as a foil to the scenery, white clouds must pay attention to the image and have a significantly different proportion from the main body, so as to make the picture vivid and touching. Secondly, there are no white clouds with different shades, which are not suitable for any scenery, let alone as the main body. Generally, there are more white clouds when the sun is slanting in the morning or afternoon. Therefore, it is most appropriate to use the white clouds in the sky as a lining and take pictures in the oblique sunlight. The image of the cloud is constantly changing with the wind. We should seize the opportunity and be patient to get a good Yun Guan. But pay attention to the use of filters when shooting. For example, it is best to add a polarizer for color shooting, and yellow and orange filters for black and white shooting.

The shooting of sunset glow

Sunset appears in the evening. Because there is less humidity in the evening space, it is often weaker than the fog in the morning. If you shoot the scenery with sunset glow, the atmosphere of sunset glow will be shown in the distant scenery. If you shoot the sunset scenery with backlight, the place with sunset will show the shallow level of the scenery like the scenery with morning fog. When the backlight illuminates the sunset scene, the nearby scene is easily influenced by the light of the distant sunset scene because there is no smog, so it is underexposed. Therefore, when shooting summer static, if the nearby scenery is the main body, it is best to take the nearby as the photometric standard.

Make good use of clouds to add points to images. The following eight general rules are that clouds and pictures are matched into a beautiful landscape photo.

1. Bring it into the foreground: It is best to bring it into the foreground when shooting to enhance the sense of space and visual power of the picture.

2. Make good use of reflection: If there is a pond or river in the foreground, you can enhance the visual intensity of the picture through reflection.

3. Clouds in the sky: A bird's eye view through the airplane window can capture a different kind of cloud beauty.

4. Jesus light: There is a glimmer of light in the clouds (commonly known as Jesus light), which is also one of the methods commonly used by photographers to express clouds.

5. Full of glow: In addition to clouds, the glow before sunset is also quite tense, which can make the scenery more glorious and moving.

6. Expression of visual tension: This method is mainly used to record architecture or highlight a specific theme.

7. Strange weather: When the weather comes, because the clouds and color temperature are strange, you can take a mysterious image of the atmosphere.

8. Huoshaoyun: Huoshaoyun, even the big scene in the mouth of landscape photographers, is precious because it can be met but not sought.
