Cultural Heritage of Hougou Ancient Village

From June 5438 to 10, 2002, Mr. Feng Jicai, Chairman of China Folk Writers Association, Mr. Wu Bing 'an, a folklorist and professor of Liaoning University, Mr. Xiang Yunju and Mr. Rui 'an, folk culturists. Professor Qiao from Central Academy of Fine Arts, Professor from Shandong Institute of Arts and Crafts, folk photographers Li Yuxiang, Fan Yu, Tan Bo and his party came to Hougou Village to conduct spot sampling inspection on the rescue project of China folk cultural heritage. They all agree that Hougou in Yuci is a rare historical and cultural heritage of China, a traditional classic of thousands of years of farming civilization in the Loess Plateau: spiritual beliefs, modes of production, living conditions, traditional tools and folk customs in folk culture, and a traditional civilization of self-sufficiency in China, especially the northern Han nationality for thousands of years. Hougou ancient village has simple farming culture, pure natural culture, traditional belief culture and agility. In 2003 1 month, China Folk Writers and Artists Association announced Hougou as the sampling point for the protection of agricultural cultural heritage in ancient villages of China folk cultural heritage rescue project.
