Which higher vocational school should I go to in Fujian?

Explanation of Ministry of Education

In order to strengthen the macro-management of higher education, introduce social supervision mechanism, enhance the function of government information service, and ensure the necessary specifications, quality and normal running order of general higher education, the list of universities, independent colleges and branch schools with general higher education enrollment qualifications in 2006 (as of April 18, 2006) is now published.

This list is divided into four parts according to the location of the school, the type of school, the subject category and so on. The first part is ordinary undergraduate colleges (719 in total); The second part is the general higher vocational colleges (1105); The third part is the independent college approved by the state (317 in total); The fourth part is the branch schools approved by the state (total 145). Excluding Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan military academies. Except for the list of colleges and universities announced this time, any other institutions (including colleges and universities approved for construction) are not qualified to hold general higher education. The state will not recognize the student status and graduation certificate issued by the unit that enrolls students in violation of regulations. Candidates who take this year's unified entrance examination for colleges and universities should check this list before signing up to avoid mistakes.

In the published list of ordinary institutions of higher learning and independent colleges, all schools whose school conditions are lower than the requirements of restricted enrollment (yellow card) are marked with "*" in front of their school names (a total of 37 schools), indicating that although enrollment is allowed this year, it is necessary to strictly control the enrollment scale, increase investment and enrich school conditions.

Microsoft actively participated in the IT professional curriculum reform of China vocational and technical education supported by the Ministry of Education, and launched the "Microsoft Institute IT Certification Curriculum Project" in September 2003, introducing Microsoft technology widely used by IT enterprises into the professional curriculum system of China University/junior college students, so that students can master the IT knowledge and skills most needed by enterprises at school and obtain internationally recognized Microsoft certification, thus improving their employment competitiveness.

"Achieving Unlimited Future Potential-Microsoft's 2005 Internship Plan" is a further important embodiment of Microsoft's unremitting support for IT vocational and technical education reform in China. This project aims to let the graduates majoring in Microsoft courses experience Microsoft's software development process, system and network management technology and professional working methods. The 10 students enrolled this time are the first three-year software vocational students enrolled in Fujian Province in 2002. They worked in the consulting service department, customer technical support department, public business department and enterprise and partner business department of Microsoft (China) Co., Ltd. for four months respectively. They are widely praised in Microsoft, especially their technical ability, self-study ability, team spirit and sense of responsibility have exceeded Microsoft's expectations. They proved the achievements of information technology education reform in Fujian Software Vocational College and the ability of software vocational students with their own actual performance.

Zheng Zuxian, deputy director of the Education Department of Fujian Province, said: "The performance of the first batch of Microsoft interns proves that the reform and construction of software education in Fujian Province has achieved initial results. We will make persistent efforts, adhere to the road of opening up schools, actively encourage and strongly support famous software enterprises and manufacturers at home and abroad to participate in the reform and construction of software education in Fujian, and carry out various forms of cooperation in jointly formulating talent training programs, developing professional construction, promoting certification education, and building teacher training and student training bases. At the same time, I am very grateful to Microsoft for its strong support for the reform of higher vocational education in Fujian and the country. This also strengthened our desire to cooperate with Microsoft. I hope Microsoft will continue to support the reform of IT higher vocational education in Fujian and even the whole country, promote the development of IT higher vocational education in China and further improve the quality of IT talents.

Chen Yongzheng, vice president of Microsoft Corporation and CEO of Microsoft Greater China, said: "Microsoft hired junior college students as interns for the first time, which fully reflected Microsoft's support for IT education in China. Our employment department also recognizes the ability of our students, saying that their professional skills exceed their expectations, and we hope to use such students every year in the future. At the same time, Microsoft has been vigorously promoting IT education around the world and promoting the cultivation of IT software talents. The training of IT talents needs the joint efforts of education departments, schools and IT industries under the guidance of the government. We can see that the Fujian provincial government is far-sighted, attaches great importance to IT vocational education and is determined to reform. Therefore, Microsoft China will continue to support the IT education reform in Fujian Province, and will provide more internship and employment support. "

Wu Minsheng, president of Fuzhou University, said, "I am very glad that students from Fuzhou University can become the first batch of high school students to practice at Microsoft. Today, we also saw their excellent performance. So we are very grateful to Microsoft for providing valuable internship opportunities for the training of these students. From their work reports, we also see that students' professional skills have been greatly improved; Microsoft courses in the school have played a great role in their internships, and the Microsoft curriculum system has really helped our students get ahead in mastering the skills and technologies needed by IT enterprises. At the same time, we can see that the students have gained a lot of insights and benefited a lot from the professional quality and corporate culture of Microsoft, the world's top software company. IT technology is the fastest developing discipline, and IT professional education in universities all over the world should aim at cutting-edge technology and enterprise demand. The educational reform of information technology specialty in our school is in full swing, and many achievements and experiences have been achieved. We should continue and deepen the cooperation with internationally renowned IT vendors such as Microsoft, because they have advanced professional technology and master the talent demand of IT enterprises. This is an important foundation for China's information technology professional education reform.

Since 2002, Fujian Provincial Department of Education, together with Microsoft and ATA, has tried to launch a professional curriculum system that is suitable for the development of vocational education in China and can be in line with international standards. The Provincial Department of Education took the lead in identifying five colleges and universities in the province as pilot units for the reform of software higher vocational education, opened seven IT majors, and successively issued a series of guiding documents to solve the problems of fees, teachers and teaching. In running a school, new teaching methods and student training links have been added, so that students can have a more practical sense of teamwork, the ability to solve practical problems and the experience of real software enterprise operation, and a new mode of running a school and cultivating talents in software higher vocational education has initially formed.

The biggest feature of the reform is that students have accepted a new teaching mode completely different from traditional IT education. They not only studied the formal higher vocational education courses recognized by the state, but also obtained the academic certificates recognized by the state. At the same time, they also learned the latest knowledge and skills provided by internationally renowned IT vendors, obtained the certification of internationally renowned IT vendors, and improved the employment competitiveness of students.
