The difference between imaging department and radiology department
The scope of imaging department is large, such as general radiation CT, nuclear magnetic resonance, ultrasonic bone imaging, PET-CT, etc., which can all be classified as imaging department, but the scope of radiology department is relatively small, which usually refers to the use of radiation to examine the human body, such as CT and radiation.
The commonly used equipment in radiology department includes ordinary X-ray filming machine, computer X-ray photography system, computer X-ray tomography and so on. The method of radiological diagnosis is medical image analysis.
Different hospitals have different names, and some hospital imaging departments only contain radiation CT. Some hospitals may have a wider scope, and the ultrasound department is an independent department. Therefore, it is best to consult the clinician or guide who wrote the list before the examination.
