10 Children's Photography Skills

Plan ahead.

It is good to capture nature, but sometimes it is more helpful to plan before taking pictures. Many photos I take need a lot of props. I will arrange the scene in advance, and it usually takes only 1-2 minutes to shoot girls.

We all like smiling faces.

I like smiling faces. I never need to tell them that all I have to do is laugh. Tell them a joke instead of telling them to "smile". Say an interesting word, do an interesting thing, make some interesting sounds, and a smile will naturally come.

lead by example

Many times, it is difficult for children to make a specific gesture. Instead of telling them how to pose, just show them and let them imitate.

Break the mindset

Paint the walls? Really? This is not true, but the idea will excite children. Tell them what you think and make them excited and eager to try. Besides, don't forget to hide your paint bucket in the future.

Join them and appear in front of the camera together.

Don't just press the shutter, join them. It's more interesting in a photo than just taking a photo.

Use some props

Edible food is very useful, and there will be something to do when taking pictures.

Rich!

Small bribes and small rewards always work. I told them that they could keep these red envelopes for themselves. What I didn't tell them was that these red envelopes were empty.

Photoshop magic

My children can't fly, but they can jump. It may take some time to learn composition, but it becomes easy as long as you master the method. Take a picture of the people inside, and then take a picture of no one. Combine two photos in Photoshop, erase those unwanted things, and you will get two flying witches.

There's always a reason to take pictures.

Think about those festivals, Thanksgiving, Christmas, Halloween, New Year, Easter. Even if there are no festivals, we still have birthdays, anniversaries, carnivals and so on.

Keep the photos simple.

If possible, delete everything. I like clean and simple pictures. The subject of the photo should be the model, not anything that might distract the audience.
