Canon 700d shooting starry sky tutorial

1, shooting the starry sky (such as the star track) requires necessary accessories, one is a cable and the other is a tripod. The equipment is not exquisite, but it must have B-door exposure. It is recommended to buy a wide-angle lens with a large aperture.

2. Requirements for shooting the starry sky: First, time requirements, to avoid the sun, usually two hours after sunset; Second, environmental requirements, we need to find places far away from urban areas, such as suburbs and observatories, to avoid light pollution; Third, find a suitable foreground, and it is best to shoot it slightly upside down to avoid the glare pollution near the horizon.

3. There are two ways to shoot the starry sky, one is the on-site long exposure method, and the other is the post-superposition method, which is better than the on-site long exposure method.

4. On-site long-time exposure method. It is necessary to install a cable and tripod for the camera, set the sensitivity to the lowest ISO, select single-point focusing as the focusing mode, and choose M-stop as the exposure mode, generally choose a smaller aperture, such as f16; Select B-gate exposure, the exposure time is generally 1-2 hours, which can be adjusted according to the brightness of the spotlight, but it should not be too short, otherwise the trajectory is not obvious; The exposure of the picture can be adjusted repeatedly according to the shooting, mainly by adjusting the shutter time.

5. Post-stacking method. With high sensitivity (iso800 or 1600), large aperture (f5.6 and above) and short exposure time (e.g. 1 min), dozens or even hundreds of starry photos are taken continuously, and then these photos are imported into startrails software, so that spiral star orbits and exploding star orbits can be synthesized.
