The paper is folded 8 times to become 256 layers, and folded 9 times to become 5 12 layers. Imagine the thickness of a book with 5 12 pages, and you will know how difficult it is to fold an ordinary piece of paper in half nine times.

In fact, this has something to do with the thickness and length of the paper. If enough paper is found, will it increase the number of folds? Someone did do this experiment before. They spliced white paper into 1 100 meters long and folded it in half on the road. After tossing for 4 hours, 1 100 meters of paper was successfully folded in half to 10 times. At this time, the paper is piled into a thick pile, and the length is reduced to about 1 m.

They originally wanted to challenge whether they could fold 1 1 times, but after folding 10 times, the inside was already very loose, so direct folding would not work. Finally, they decided to flatten them with wheels, but in the process of rolling, the outer layer was also broken, so they could not be folded in half.
