The School of Art and Design of Fujian University of Commerce was formerly the Department of Commercial Art of Fujian University of Commerce, which was founded in 2000. 1changed its name to the Art and Design Department of Fujian University of Commerce on October 20 1 1, and was officially upgraded to the Art and Design College of Fujian University of Commerce on September 20 1.

The College of Art and Design consists of the Department of Design and the Department of Arts and Crafts. The design department includes art design, environmental design and visual communication design. The Department of Arts and Crafts includes clothing and costume design, and arts and crafts design.
