What do CR and DR mean in medical imaging?

CR is the abbreviation of computer X-ray photography. CR is a medical imaging diagnosis of diseases. It uses digital images, which is convenient to access PACS system, and can be combined with computer technology to process images and improve image quality. The price of CR is relatively low, and a set of CR can realize the digitalization of X-ray equipment in the whole hospital.

DR refers to a new digital X-ray photography technology directly controlled by computer, that is, X-ray information penetrating human body is converted into digital signals by using amorphous silicon flat panel detector, and images are reconstructed by computer and a series of image post-processing.

CR advantage

The dose of 1.X-ray photography is smaller than that of traditional X-ray photography.

2. Digitize the image for easy access to PACS system.

3.IP board can be placed flexibly, which is convenient for seriously ill patients with mobility difficulties.

4. Compared with DR, the price is low, and a set of CR can realize the digitalization of X-ray equipment in the whole hospital.

Disaster recovery characteristics

(1) DQE, the detection efficiency can reach 74%, while the DQE of ordinary screen X-ray photos is 30%.

(2) DR imaging speed is fast, the acquisition time is less than 10ms, and the imaging time is only 3 seconds, so the radiologist immediately observes the image on the screen.

(3) DR has high spatial resolution and low noise rate. Amorphous silicon is directly converted into electrical signals after X-ray irradiation, which can avoid the reduction of image sharpness caused by other imaging methods. For example, high-definition images can be obtained after ordinary screen combination photos and CR rays are irradiated with phosphorus. High performance MTF curve can be obtained.

(4) Digital images can be post-processed. Image post-processing is the biggest feature of digital images. Only after retaining the original data can the image be processed by software functions according to the needs of diagnosis, thus improving the diagnosis rate.

(5) Low dose of DR radiation.

(6) The direct conversion technology of 6)DR simplifies the network work with high efficiency, paving the way for medical images to be fully digital and filmless.

(7) Effectively solve the archiving management and transmission of images, save image data in the form of CD burning, and provide photo printing service for candidates at any time to prevent photos from being lost and repeated. Moreover, the high-definition DR photos are mutually recognized by the major hospitals in the whole region, and there is no need to repeat the inspection in the superior hospital, which reduces the cost of repeated inspection.
