How to shoot the sunset glow

Sunset shooting method

1, shooting time

Shooting sunset glow should be finished at 10. The sunset speed in the west is generally slow, so you can have enough time to choose the scene and composition when shooting.

You should choose a sunny morning to shoot the morning glow, when the sun has just risen from the horizon, and it is best to turn from red to white. The shooting time is too early, the sky is not too bright, the morning glow is not bright enough, the shooting time is too late, the sun intensity is too strong, and the direct sunlight enters the lens, which is easy to produce halo phenomenon, and the clouds cannot be fully expressed.

2. Exposure control

When shooting the morning glow and the evening glow, you should master the exposure time to avoid overexposure. A compromise exposure method can be adopted, that is, the sky light value and the sunlight value are measured with an exposure meter, and then added together, and the average value is taken as the exposure index.

If there is no exposure meter, you can estimate the exposure time according to your own experience. For example, the aperture for shooting rosy clouds is 8, the aperture for shooting the sun is 1 1, and the shutter speed can be 1/60 seconds. In order to give consideration to the rosy clouds and moderate brightness of the sun, you can also shoot with an aperture between F8 ~ 1 1 and a shutter speed of 1/60s.

3, shooting composition

When shooting a scene, you should choose expressive scenery and clouds to form a perfect and rich picture. It is necessary to select and refine the scenery and lines, light and shade, colors and levels that match the sunrise or sunset among many complicated scenes, so as to make the picture more poetic and give the audience beautiful artistic enjoyment.

4, white balance

Because the color temperature of light is generally lower when there is rosy clouds than when there is plenty of sunshine, in order to show the warm color of rosy clouds, the white balance can be adjusted to the daylight file, so that the color will be more infectious.

5. Color temperature

When rosy clouds appear, the color temperature is generally low, but if you want to make rosy clouds redder or yellower, you can set the color temperature of the camera slightly higher than the outside color temperature to achieve the effect, and it is also convenient to adjust later.

At this time, when shooting, due to the low illumination angle, it is best to use side light or side backlight to increase the stereoscopic impression and texture of the object, and at the same time show the golden light reflected by the object, thus enhancing the artistic effect of photography.
