What are the types and types of Guangfu dwellings?
First of all, bell house
The "living fossil" that best embodies Guangfu culture is the building of Yonger, which stands in rural villages. Yong 'er House is a typical representative of traditional houses in Lingnan, with Guangfu-style houses as the main representative. It is named after the construction of two wind walls similar to Yonger on both sides of the house. In the houses recovered in Ming and Qing Dynasties, it is generally the villages with high officials and rich people who are qualified to erect a bell-shaped volcanic wall on the roof.
Second, the oyster shell house.
Oyster shell houses can be traced back to the Southern and Northern Dynasties. In the Ming and Qing dynasties, oyster shells could be seen in ancestral temples and houses, which became the characteristic architectural style of Lingnan water town. According to textual research, the practice of building walls with oyster shells in Lingnan area can be traced back to the Southern and Northern Dynasties. Liu Yao's "Ling Biao Ji" in the Tang Dynasty recorded: "Lu Ting, Lu Xun, the party queen of Guangzhou, went to the island to live in the wild, but ate oysters and built shells as walls." In this way, Lingnan people have used oysters for thousands of years. During the Ming and Qing dynasties, oyster shell walls were more prosperous. Ye Quan, an Anhui scholar in the Ming Dynasty, wrote in "A Tour to the South of the Mountain": "Those who are broad build walls with shells, while those who are tall stand upright, with smart eyes and no rope. Their heads look out, their scales are lovely, but they are not separated from the fire. " At the beginning of the Qing Dynasty, the Qing Qu Dajun recorded in "Guangdong Xinyu": "With its oyster shell, it is five or six feet high. The shell is smooth and round. Building a wall is called oyster light. If you look at it like a fish scale, rain will benefit you. The ratio of living in a walled house is oyster shells. " It can be seen that at least in the Ming Dynasty, oyster shells have been widely used in the coastal areas of the Pearl River Delta.
